These images were made during a journey down Rustic Road 44 in Marinette County on June 24, 2017.
R-44, Right-of-Way Road, crosses two creeks and is adjacent to the Lake Noquebay State Wildlife
Area and Marinette County Forest land. R-44 was originally part of the Wisconsin-Michigan Railroad.
Wisconsin's Rustic Roads system was created to preserve many of the state's scenic, lightly traveled country roads. Features of Rustic Roads include rugged terrain, native vegetation and wildlife, or open areas with agricultural vistas.

This rustic cabin at Upper Dewey Lake is available for camping on a first come first served basis. It's basically just a log cabin with a wood stove and some sleeping platforms

Card Kit - Easy to make kit with pre-cut paper pieces and clear instructions! All you need to supply is the glue stick/roller adhesive and scissors to trim the ribbon. This kit makes a set of 8 cards containing two designs (4 deer and 4 stocking). The designs are mounted on a squares of dark brown and light brown paper then centered on a deep red card base. The front is finished with a knotted, brown grosgrain ribbon. The inside sentiment of "May the peace and joy of the season be with you throughout the New Year" is printed in deep red on an ivory square to be centered inside the card. Eight envelopes are included in this kit.

his vintage, intricately crafted wild grapevine basket is a stunning decorative addition to any room of the house. Fill it with fruit, paperback books, newspapers, soap, pine cones, an ivy plant, scarves or whatever you have that needs containing.
My own preference for this basket, however, is a bunch of bright red apples; my second preference is a bouquet of dried green hydrangeas--both look stunning when displayed among its intertwining tendrils.
The basket measures 16 inches from its bottom to the top of the handle; it's base is 13 inches by 9 inches; and it's 10 inches by 9 inches from rim to rim.

An ornamental woodland setting of sweet chestnut and wild cherry underplanted with shade-loving perennials provides the backdrop for this rustic woodland kitchen garden. In the clearing a small canopy offers shelter, with boxes of herbs for cooking and a little vegetable garden. The wood-fired bread oven provides a focal point for sitting and eating.
All the features in this garden have been made from sustainable English woodland products and show how traditional crafts and materials can be used within a garden, helping to support our local woodlands.
