Up close and personal with some beautiful, yucky rust blooming on a discarded, broken, steel part I found... no doubt, in some significant place. (But I forgot where.)
Macro Mondays - rust
These old tomb enclosures have so many years worth of layers of paint that they almost look scaly to me. HFF
Stopped off at a historical site called Britannia Mines on the way back to Vancouver from Whistler Mountain. The weather cooperated and the late afternoon sunshine brought out the redness in the various rusted machinery on the site. My only regret was I had my Panasonic FZ1000 with me instead of my Canon 5D MK II kit.
A detail of a rusted gate of a once proud and busy enterprise. All that is left now is decaying walls, rusting iron, and wild nature.
Even though its working life has now expired and it is parked on the fence line it still has a useful purpose as a business advertisement.
Known by all and sundry the old Toyota has now become and icon of Camden and is now an integral part of the landscape.
Which just proves that you can't keep a good truck down.
