Water rushing it's frantic way towards a fall. A spot near Dillon Falls near Bend in central Oregon.

Waterfalls in the Smokies are varied, and beautiful, this is part of Sunburst falls, sometimes called the Pigeon River Cascades, while the main fall on the down side of this is amazing, wide open and looks spectacular, this upper section draws me in more readily. The rocks eroded down, holes from decade after decade, century after century creating a ancient face. The rush of water roaring in your ears, despite being on the road side, you could close your eyes and forget the modern world for a moment, listening to the falls sing you their timeless lullaby. Once you begin setting out into those old forests, one realizes you’re not leaving the world behind, you’re merely coming home.

I love cold air, fresh air. I love the wind in my face. I love clouds scooting across the sky. I love to be outdoors and in the wilds.
It's summer now, but actually I hanker for winter. It may not be as colourful but I'm sure it's more interesting. I tried to cool down this mid summer shot to make it look more wintry, when being outdoors in the wilds gives me a rush. By the next winter I should well and truly be in the wilds. In long dark days I will find a mood to suit.
Does anybody have the word "Snowdonia" printed on any gear or clothing? It seems you are not allowed to have "Snowdonia" printed on your T-shirt because the name has been registered by JD Williams, the Manchester based company that slapped a cease and desist order on Eryri Eco Clothing which is based in Snowdonia. Eryri tried to register the name "Eryri" (Welsh for Snowdonia) but was told it could not because it is a place name, but at the same time was told it could not use the name "Snowdonia" because JD Williams have trademarked it. Doesn't this sort of stupidity in the world make your blood boil???? Too many lawyers stink.

I just love to see (and hear) a mated pair of Grebes rushing. They kick up a huge splash of water as they run - dancing across the top of the water.
I’ve been dealing with a head cold since the Chiefs parade, so it was nice to be able to get out today and catch a few shots while it was snowing today. This creek is found in Parkville, Missouri and is easy access right off the road. My inital idea was to shoot the park benches in the English Landing Park with the snow falling down all around but this ended up being my favorite of the day. Just a simple straight shot from the bridge overlook. You can almost get this shot from inside your car if you wanted. Lol

This picture was taken in the Business District of Lille, at blue hour, wich matches, at this time of the year, with the rush hour.
I was looking for a modern urban scenery with lots of lights, colors and human activity and this spot provided me all I wanted.

What’s up guys? This image was taken in China town few seconds before harsh downpour. Color and atmosphere were looking really good! What do you think?
Rush Hour at East India DLR station, looking towards Canary Wharf. Popular spot for togs here, this was shot before sunset, and the station was surprisingly quiet. Happy New Year to all my Flickr friends and followers, its been great keeping up with all your work in 2016, looking forward to seeing new stuff in 2017.
I took the photo after a heavy rain storm in March of this year, hoping that the waterfall would carry much more water than usual. I was rewarded, but the storm had damaged nearly the whole path and only a few spots were passable. So loud I had never heard the waterfall, the rushing noice broke the silence of the forest and sometimes I love this.
I chose bw, because everything was muddy. And dark rocks quite looking good and making a fine contrast to the silky water :-)
Happy evening everyone :-)
The German Warship UJ-2216 was actually a luxury yacht, built in Leith (UK) for Henry de Rotschild, named Eros. She was taken over to the Marine Nationale Francaise during 1939, when she was at Le Havre, and renamed to serve in Meditarranean as AD 196.
At the end of 1942 she was captured by the Kriegsmarine, and transformed in anti submarine corvette with the name of Uboot-Jäger UJ 2216. Her new base was Genova. On September 13, 1944, she was escorting two minelayers to La Spezia harbour, when the convoy was attacked by an allied torpedo-bomber: two torpedoes hit the corvette, causing the explosion of the depth charges: the stern was completely destroyed, and the "KT" sank rapidly. Six men of the crew died, and seventeen more were missing.
Now, she is a very nice dive in Liguria, with a very scenic front twin AA-Gun.
