The cardinal is on our Japanese maple tree in our front yard. This individual has a yellowish breast and belly, unlike the light brown color of a typical female cardinal.
The waning yin of the slowly rotting leaves, and the waxing yang of the leaf buds that are about to rupture with newly formed leaves, create a balance within the tree, as the cardinal tries to maintain its balance on the tree's branch on this cold spring day. All living things are trying to maintain the homeostasis within themselves! We either adjust or die!

I took the opportunity whilst up in London to drop into Tate Modern to see this famous "crack" a work called Shibboleth by Doris Salcedo
It is amazing and works so well in this massive Turbine Hall
"This is the first work to intervene directly in the fabric of the Turbine Hall. Rather than fill this iconic space with a conventional sculpture or installation, Salcedo has created a subterranean chasm that stretches the length of the Turbine Hall. The concrete walls of the crevice are ruptured by a steel mesh fence, creating a tension between these elements that resist yet depend on one another"

This colorful nose art is on the outside of the cockpit of the DC-3 pictured nearby on this photostream. This plane is located MAPS Air Museum near Canton, Ohio. Probably the most well known "Ruptured Duck" was a B-25 that was part of the Doolittle Raid, which was an attack on mainland Japan that took place after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. It was lead by General James Doolittle and was launched from the carrier USS Hornet on April 18, 1942.

Une nouvelle série. Rupture du format carré, pas de titre sinon que "gravé" sur chaque photo les coordonnées GPS "d'un lieu d'un instant revécu". En effet toutes les photos de cette série sont issues de mes 1ères photos faites en 2009 avec un modeste Samsung.
Merci à celui ci que j'ai épuisé, fini avec du Scotch pour son étanchéité ...
et qui m'a offert une "ouverture" au monde !

A new series. Out of square format, no title except that "engraved" on each photo GPS coordinates "a place of reliving a moment." In fact all the photos in this series are from my 1st photos made in 2009 with a modest Samsung.

Broad-leaved Helleborines are pollinated by long-headed species of wasps which can reach the nectar in the flower causing the viscidium to rupture thus releasing the pollen which sticks to the wasps head. This process causes the helleborine to produce ethanol which intoxicates the wasp making them appear "drunk".
Visiting Jubilee 45690 " Leander" passes Ewood Bridge with the 10:30 from Bury. Unfortunately just a couple of hours after this I slipped and fell near Nuttall Tunnel and dislocated/ruptured my right knee. After spending just over two weeks in North Manchester General I am now on the road to recovery but will confined to barracks until well into the new year. A big thank you for the kind wishes I have received from those who know me ( despite me being a Liverpool fan ), it is very much appreciated. Dave.

Et c’est vraiment pas classe de tousser sur son bras nu, bandes de crados !
En matière d’hygiène, vous me faites honte !
Le masque alternatif est donc une sorte de coude en tissu que l’on s’enroule autour du visage et ainsi, grâce à nous, vous pourrez désormais tousser, cracher, éternuer, ou même vous moucher dans votre masque au lieu de le faire dans votre bras…

- Parce que l’argent des masques, dont nous a généreusement fait cadeau le contribuable, et je l'en remercie chaleureusement au passage, a été intégralement dépensé pour implanter les nouveaux radars à 80 km/h, et les panneaux neufs sur les routes nationales.
- Et pourquoi une telle erreur stratégique sidérante ? Les Français veulent savoir, Monsieur le Premier Ministre !
- Parce qu’un radar rapporte davantage d’argent qu’un masque ! Et pas qu’un peu, mon neveu ! Et y’a pas photo, mon Paulo !
- Effectivement, l’argument est imparable et donc recevable ! Mais alors pourquoi ne pas utiliser l’argent que rapportent les radars, pour acheter des masques ?

Pour acheter des masques il faut encaisser des PV et pour encaisser des PV il faut d’abord déconfiner... C'est un cercle vicieux, un peu comme le gouvernement !

To me, Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens remains the most spectacular garden in the greater Washington DC area. There's simply nothing like it.
The Lotus and water lilies are still plentiful. BUT, visitors should be aware the Main Entrance and parking lot are closed due to a large-diameter pipe rupture. Repairs will likely take several weeks.
All visitors must use street parking, and enter the park via the Meadow Gate pathway marked by the green NPS tent at the intersection of Anacostia Ave & Douglas St (a block away from the Main Entrance). There's no access before 8:00 am.

Lily ended over 12 weeks of restricted activity this week. She had a partially ruptured cruciate ligament in her left rear knee (similar to ACL in humans) and was on a leash outside at all times and inside she was in a pen at night and not allowed to run or jump on the furniture etc. Her corrective surgery was 12 weeks ago and she has been released from the restrictions by her vet. She is a rescue dog and is about 7 years old now. X-ray show that she will likely have the same procedure on her other leg as it shows some damage to the ligament in the other knee.

The one in the incident at Madrid on 2020-Feb-3 tire rupture when take off and one engine was damaged need to shut down. With single engine the aircraft need to burn fuel circle for 4 hours and request emergency landing, Spanish F-18 in the air helping to check the damage.

Cromwell during his more active life ruptured two discs in his back. The fluids in the disc entered his spinal column and hardened, pinching it off and causing his rear legs to only get weak signals from his brain. So he can no longer walk normally and sometimes can't even stand. He has good days and bad. But he was missing his long walks around the neighborhood. These wheels have solved that problem. He is now able to trek the area in our part of town as he used to do in better days.
We took Cromwell to a doggie spine specialist over in Medford. He had an MRI to see if his condition was operable. The surgeon advised he could do the surgery but that chances for success were not high in his case and that it could actually make things worse. He advised we just let nature take its course and allow Cromwell to live out his days as best he can without the trauma of the surgery. And Cromwell has been doing that pretty well and he adapted to his new wheels immediately . . . took off the first time we put his wheels on to do his much missed walk around the neighborhood.
Scattered across the asphalt like forgotten jewels, the shattered glass catches the light with quiet brilliance. In black and white, each fragment becomes a frozen spark — beauty born from rupture.

Ces automotrices visent à améliorer les services régionaux entre les deux pays sans rupture de charge, notamment à travers sept lignes transfrontalières. Pour cette raison, ces trains sont bimodes (diesel-électrique), bitension (25 kV en France et 15 kV en Allemagne) et bifréquence (50 Hz en France et 16 2/3 Hz en Allemagne). Pour l'instant, les nouvelles unités qui arrivent à Strasbourg sont intégrées aux services TER français, en attendant l'autorisation de circuler sur le réseau ferroviaire allemand au long de cette année.

This was one awesome paint job! Actually, the whole car was awesome, from the engine compartment to the interior or undercarriage. He blew a tire during the burn out contest which caused a rupture in one of his airbags on his suspension. He had it replaced and fixed in an hour or so... : )

July 30th my water ruptured. Scarred me to death because I thought I was only 28 weeks along. They admitted me to the hospital immediately and after an ultra-sound, they estimated her age to be 35 weeks! I was completely confused because I thought I had conceived early February while visiting my husband in FL. I had also seen him at Thanksgiving, but ruled that out as possible conception date because I had a Dec/Jan period! Didn't know you could be pregnant and still have your period.
Anyway, the doctors took extra precautions since there was confusion about how far along I was. Another complication was that I had pre-eclampsia. It's a pretty serious condition as it can develop into seizures if not treated. The only way to get rid of it is to deliver the baby.
The doctors induced me and after 12 hours on Pitocin, I pushed for about 13 minutes and she was out! The amazing thing is that because she was older, she didn't have any breathing problems or other health complications. We were released from the hospital after 5 days and are doing great! We have so much to be thankful for!!!
