Amazing nature surrounding the Hulugan Falls in this 7 vertical photo stitched panorama. Water and Jungle mix in such a harmonious way. The place is starting to get popular as tourists show more and more interest. It takes some trekking to get there. The guide that took us there was an old guy but he was running up the hill like a teenager! The best time to visit the place is during the dry season. Processed for HDR and Panorama in LR6. Luisiana, Laguna in the Philippines.
Still not fully back 'on' here, but able to dip my toe in occasionally. Normal service should be resumed by mid October...
All the best!
Headed to Zion National Park for the holidays. Although we ended our trip earlier then planned, managed a little adventure before heading home. Here a picture of The Narrows. water temps just above freezing, slippery rocks and fast running water, sometimes chest deep - makes for some fun!
HTMT!!
The creeks are slowing and the temperature is rising, looking like a typical summer around here. I'm starting to hit the trails early so I'm finished by 11am or earlier.
That's a farm track trying to turn into a stream with running water coming off the hills and fields and running steadily down this track.. There's a drain just to my left where I took the photo and you can hear the water flowing - not trickling - into it. I walk past it regularly and it has been doing that since the beginning of March and it was still running as strong when I walked by this afternoon, despite not having had as much rain in the two weeks since taking this photo.. Constant flow for about 7 weeks now.
I'll note below this photo when it finally stops.....
(2nd May was the first day I could no longer hear it flowing into the drain, so 2 months solid flowing off the hills! - still almost as wet as above though).
Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales.
We had a heat wave for about 10 days, and then on Wednesday, I woke up to rain, wind and 15C cooler, so I put my rain gear on and headed to the beach. Unfortunately, the rain stopped while I was there, but the wind was still powerful enough to blow my hat off. While I was shooting this scene, I was lucky to see these four people running to the end of "whatever this is that was jutting into the ocean" :)

Walking around the California Aqueduct. At this point, this side is paved, and the other side is a dirt trail.

Pistyll Rhaeadr (Welsh pronunciation: [pɪstɪɬ r̥aeadr], meaning "spring of the waterfall") is a waterfall, located a few miles from the village of Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant in Powys, Wales, twelve miles west of Oswestry.
Pistyll Rhaeadr is formed by the Afon Disgynfa falling, in three stages, over a 240-foot (73 m) Silurian cliff-face, below which the river is known as the Afon Rhaeadr. The tallest stage is estimated at about 40 metres. It is counted as one of the Seven Wonders of Wales and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The 19th century author George Borrow, in his book Wild Wales, remarked of the waterfall: "What shall I liken it to? I scarcely know, unless it is to an immense skein of silk agitated and disturbed by tempestuous blasts, or to the long tail of a grey courser at furious speed. I never saw water falling so gracefully, so much like thin, beautiful threads as here."

Wachirathan Falls flows down a granite escarpment on the way up to the summit of Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand. Although segmented, its falls have a cumulative height of 80 m. It's one of several waterfalls in the area
The beautiful water of the Kodaikanal lake looks so white and pristine. Coming down from the hills and entering the lake, the water flows over the rocks and pebbles, that reflect the golden light of the sun at the bank of the lake. The water was cold but I found it tempting to step into the water to take a shot. The water looked so magically beautiful flowing through the rocks, sometimes bringing with it fallen dried leaves!

Late afternoon along one of the many streams in the South Mountains. The low light was just turning golden, and there was a slight breeze carried along the water.
The Spring rush really does this waterfall wonders.

A crisp autumn day at the base of the upper High Shoals Falls - One glance and its easy to see why this waterfall is so popular.
I started on the other side of the aqueduct on the dirt path and hiked around to this side on the pavement. Round trip by Google maps is 1.2 miles. A beautiful walk made possible because there is a pumping station on this path and the aqueduct goes underground allowing the round trip. Usually you would have to hike back the way you came.
I liked the reflection of the stained glass windows on the surface of the water and have tried to capture this in my photograph.
The problem I had was that there were lots of people visiting (as you'd expect for such a large, important and popular cathedral) so I have tried to edit them out but I think you can tell :/
It was also rather dark so both photos have been brightened quite a lot.
