It is very bittersweet that my second journal comes to an end, marking the 108th Lifetime Dream I have completed.
In the past several days I have been thinking about where I was when I finished my first journal in December of 2008. I was still living in a one-bedroom apartment in San Antonio, using an outdoor closet as my writing place with a cheap $25 desk. I have thought about how long this journal has taken me, and how much I have changed- life has changed…
I lament the fact that I had so many days where I did not journal in the past 9 years- either because I was overcoming my smoking habit and this was a trigger, or because my job was literally the near death of me and it was all I could do to survive for several years. But that darkness has all made its way off my path and out of my life… good riddance.
I feel such a sense of light in my life… a way forward. I am anxious to begin a new journal, a new year… a new path, a new journey… a new lifetime dream. I don’t think the third journal will take anywhere near as long as this one, but if it does I will take it all in stride as part of the journey I am on.

Year Nine Of My 365 Project
Sometimes, it's better not to read the rune stones.
Essa had a thought in mind. A dangerous one. She had been reassuring everyone that it was going to be a 'good' year. She finally got around to checking the runes only to receive conflicting news to her gut.
Thurisaz. The stone of coming change. The last time she drew it came Lovelace. And the time before? Dorchester.
Her stomach churned violently. What change would come for them this year?
My mom helped me draw some runes on Clary since she is half Shadow Hunter :)
This one means "Angelic Power"

The Elder Futhark (named after its first six characters and pronounced 'Foothark') of the Runic Alphabet (Jernalderens Runealfabet) developed in North Western Europe in the Iron Age. Other runic alphabets grew out of the 'Elder' futhark as people migrated across the continent and across the North Sea to England. The Anglo/Frisian futhark has twenty eight characters, the extra four runes being invented to represent new elements of language.

MaK's Inforium offers information I have come across as I carry out a Life Laundry. For those of you who practice The Craft, what you see here is the result of an attempt to work emotive transmutational magic.

Ruined Runic Altar
What did this mysterious druid do before taking this path? It doesn't look like a leisurely stroll, far from it. Maybe this owl knows more than we do? Something to do with this ancient runic circle in ruins, probably, but what exactly? Will the secret of its usefulness remain buried under these birch trees for much longer? Who knows?
The MOC measures 35 by 40 cm. I got some inspiration for the birch tree of the wonderful MOC And She Followed built by Jonah Schultz / Silmaril_1.

After Physio this morning I took my first walk around the city in ages. My leg still is very sore but it was worth the pain!

You know what sucks about holiday birthdays? People are always off doing family things and don't have time to make you presents (or you know, do it early and totally forget to actually post it). Happy birthday again to Soulemn on DA, who did an amazing commission of Kopen and Eltanin that I just can't thank him enough for. So here's his electric space robot gal, Rune in Brickhead form. She's an adorable character and it was a pleasure building her.
