The Lidl Run Kildare Events 2013 were held at the Curragh Racecourse, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Sunday 12th May 2013. There were three events: a 10KM, a half marathon, and a full marathon. This is a selection of photographs which includes all events. The photographs are taken from the start and finish of the marathon, the finish of the 10KM, and the finish of the half marathon. Due to the large numbers participating we did not manage to photograph everyone - which was not helped by the weather. Congratulations to Jo Cawley and her RunKildare crew for another great event. The weather didn't dampen the spirits of the many happy participants.

Overall Race Summary
Participants: There were approximately 3,000 participants over the 3 race events - there were runners, joggers, and walkers participating.
Weather: A cold breezy morning with heavy rain at the start. The weather dried up for the 10KM and the Half Marathon races
Course: This is an undulating course with some good flat stretches on the Curragh.

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. (Saturday, 2013. Augusty 03.) The second time we (Ju-Jitsuka) were on a `tumbling air-track´, it is still a complete strength training session in `Rastede´ (near the city `Oldenburg´), a municipality in the `Ammerland district´, in the German state `Lower Saxony´.
Am 03. August 2013, waren wir (Ju-Jutsuka) zum zweiten Mal in den Sommerferien auf einem `Tumbling Air-track´! Immer noch fern ab von Perfektion - allerdings pures Vergnügen für uns!.
Gemeinsam in Rastede (Nähe Oldenburg), im niedersächsischen Landkreis Ammerland.

Global Challenge XV – Restricted – Run Through the Jungle
Zarria Elfwind is a LEFT advanced recruit on an extended training mission in the jungle of Fýrdraca when her world is turned upside down by the arrival of a New Lenfald Scout. This Scout brings the worst news she can imagine. A combined Loreos and Garheim fleet have been spotted off the Southern tip of Fýrdraca. All forces are “requested and required to proceed with all due caution and haste” to an assembly of allied Lenfald and Outlaw forces at the ruins. The Scout will not stay for more that one cup of coffee before he is on his way again.
The LEFT training regiment moves out before dark that day and arrives at the ruins in the aftermath of the first battle in the Great Western Isles.
Many small groups of reinforcements arrive over the next few days from all branches of the Lenfald military and various Outlaw groups, these forces are divided up by the Captains of Abnerburgh into strategic task groups. Zarria and several other LEFT feet (LEFT recruits still in training) are assigned to a mixed group of Lenfald troops composed of New Lenfald Scouts, Scout Snipers, and Harbingers. These groups are tasked with patrolling the jungle, keeping tabs on Loreos and Garheim troop movements, and taking every opportunity offered to harass the Combined Roawian Forces. To this end they are running a feint and ambush on a group of Loreos and Garheim soldiers who are just too far from reinforcements.
Don't look, don't look, don't look! I can hear them! There's the pond... ambush is... here! Finally! Keep running! Frantic thought raced through Zarria's mind as she CRF patrol. I should have listened to my mother; a small, terrified part of her mind interjected. She ignored that thought as she fought to suppress a wild grin that was threatening her terrified expression. Now this was living! Who wanted to be a sniper and sit up in a tree when you could be on the ground running for your life and loving it?

When you roll this thing's ability, you get to roll for a number, and do awful things to any figure matching that number. Random, but powerful. And scary, like the Lunatic. There is a reason why this figure was the poster child of Madness in the first Dreamblade set.
NOTE: I did not use photoshop or any editing software in this photo, aside from resizing it in MSPaint. I was experimenting with a few new light sources, and accidentally causd a really awesome lense flare that just happens to make it look like the Lunatic is emerging from a heavy fog, screaming for your flesh. Scary, huh?

Uno Mk1, sold.
other than making it run properly, I`d done nothing to it in the year I`ve had it, & in my heart I knew it was going to take forever to get round to it, as its was at the bottom of a long list of work on all my other cars. It was costing me money in road tax, the MOT was coming up for a second time, plus I didn't really want it sitting outdoors through another winter, so, I decided it was time to let her move on to someone who`d give her the love she needed.
The guy who took her used to have Uno`s back in the 90`s & intends to convert it into a Turbo, which is happening more & more given that Turbo`s are now worth roughly 10 times more than the lesser models.
Although it was likely the last "Spire" edition one left, I`m fine with that, as he will love her & it will live on, which is why I saved her in the first place, plus its increased monetary value should ensure it is pampered for the foreseeable future.
I`m sure I`ll kick myself in years to come, but I could say that about dozens of my previous cars, I have to be realistic & have fewer projects to concentrate on at any one time (having automotive eyes bigger than my given amount of room & time is a lifelong hoarding problem/addiction I`ve always suffered with!).
That said, one of my friends is emigrating & is going to be selling his X1/9 powered Mk1 Uno 70SX imminently, & I am lusting after it..
