I think this one's an immature male. It's just starting to show a little color in the throat. We had given up on seeing hummers migrating south this fall. But this one stopped in for a snack at our backyard feeder.

this immature Ruby throat hummingbird is still hanging around my place and will for a couple more weeks then migrate to Central America and South America. The females are the last to leave and the last to arrive in Spring. I shall miss them and have so enjoyed watching them on my flowers and feeders.
