Lordington Lavender farm.
A bit of artistic licence here Guys , this image I changed a bit from the original scene.
There were a lot of people up and down the rows plus a large white marque at the top of the field which as you can see I have removed , this was the image I had in my mind the night before ,what are your thoughts on such artistic manipulation ?.
The shot was taken at 428 Lafayette St near Astor Place in Manhattan.Back in the 1830s,there were a row of nine houses built for some of New York's elite called Lagrange Terrace (named after Revolutionary War hero Marquis du Lafayette's country estate in France) or otherwise known as "Colonnade Row".Only four homes exist today. The land on which the houses were built was owned by John Jacob Astor 2 (not to be confused with John Jacob Astor 4 who died in the sinking of the Titanic) who himself moved into one of the nine famous addresses.Other notables who lived here when it was built were Washington Irving,Cornelius Vanderbilt, and Warren Delano, grandfather of former US president Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Each 27 foot- wide residence had 26 rooms. The façades for each were made entirely of Westchester marble.Tall French doors opened from each home onto the balcony where the columns were connected to wrought iron railings (as you can see). There were low marble porches that extended into the sidewalks. The marble for the work were found at Sing Sing (a maximum security prison in upstate New York ) and were cut for construction by the prisoners there.See the link for how it looked back then daytoninmanhattan.blogspot.com/2010/04/lagrange-terrace-c...
This couple dangled their legs out into nothing and ate lunch in one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Terrific views, but the service is terrible..... :-)
Summit Lake has a loop trail all the way around, I suggest going counter clockwise for the views will be in front and the steepest climb is that ridge to the right. That's Bearhead Peak and in the back that's umm Mount Rainier.... :-) It's been weeks since I've posted a MR shot, thought I'd slip one in here. :-)

The operator has a front row seat on the stairs of XN tower in Leipsic, Ohio, as NKP 765 on home rails heads west for a short quit in Fort Wayne. Shortly the B&O diamond will rattle with the rapid repetative bang of a mile a minute movement, as this ferry move will be a short one - July 29, 1980.
I love how this turned out! (the sun, trees, reflections in the windows, bright colours)

The area surrounding Kestor Rock on the North Eastern side of Dartmoor is full of Bronze and Iron Age artefacts. Apart from large round houses and reaves (walls to separate tribal land) we came upon stone rows. This one was particularly long and consistet of double rows in parts. I can't get enough exploring those ancient sites and immersing into Bronze Age history!
Brownstones and restaurants in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen (not to be confused with the cooking show) neighborhood.46th St between 8th and 9th Avenues in particular is called Restaurant Row because there are several restaurants (I counted 35 on Wikipedia) lined up on this short street block. The Barbetta restaurant in this other shot I took is also on the same street block

The Cockle Row Cottages in Groomsport taken on a misty morning a few months back. I haven't messed with textures for a while now so since the weather's a bit crap I thought I'd give it a go :)

This stretch of park very close to Park Sołacki has the most beautiful row of trees to walk along. I arrived at the perfect moment this morning to catch a bit of that filtering light!

For several days this fall, smoke from fires in the western states have filled the skies in Wyoming which resulted in the issuing of air quality alerts. Our usually clear blue sky have been filled with a smokey haze that has been heavy at times. A photographer once told me, "don’t complain about the day’s conditions while waiting for the ideal. Instead find ideal images in the current conditions". Remembering his advice, I tried making interesting images that used the smokey haze to an advantage. This photo looks toward Absaroka Mountains from Beartooth Pass on a smokey afternoon.
One of the houses in Mormon Row in Grand Teton National Park. It's windows were not boarded up but a fence has recently been added to keep the curious at bay.
Happy Window Wednesday!
Beef cubes for the Macro Mondays theme 'In a Row'.
Now here's a thought, how can they be called cubes, they're not square 🤔.
West of Lincoln Castle is Union Road. This row of terraces back on to the castle walls and appear to have been built in the 19th century within the ditches of the castle's defences.
