The travelling camera club is an on going art project devoted to sharing a snapshot of our world. We post disposable camera's to a group of people all around the world, each person gets 5 photos then posts the camera onto the next person in the route.

Eventually the camera will make it back to the travelling camera club H.Q where it will get developed and the photos will be put online for everyone to see.

If you'd like to take part drop us an email at travellingcameraclub@googlemail.com

Pennsylvania State Route 491

OLYMPUS PEN E-PM1, M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 17mm F2.8, 2013.

May 2, 2010 8:35 a.m. Kate (in orange) appears to be describing some of today's 29 km route, while Jinny (in fuschia) holds the directions.

We headed up the wrong side of Mt. Hayden on this attempt.. here's Greg leading the horror show pitch (crumbly 5.10 runout crap) We bailed and returned next year to find/climb the correct route and summit! :-)

America's "mother road" extends 2248 miles from Chicago to Santa Monica, CA. We ran from beginning to end, which is why we look so whipped.

La route de vin, Alsace, France

Coca-Cola used to be my drink of choice. I would drink several a day until I realized what it was doing to my body. I got off the Cokes and went to Diet Coke, and eventually went to water. Now, all I drink is water...

... and juice

... and beer

... and wine

... and an occasional margarita.

Pennsylvania State Route 36

Doc’s Soda Fountain and Deck's Pharmacy Museum, Girard Illinois, September 2016.

Deck's Drug store opened in 1884 and was run by the Deck family for three generations.

The soda fountain was added in 1929, so for a short period Route 66 travelers would have been able to stop here for some refreshment. Route 66 was realigned in 1930 and then bypassed Girard.

The pharmacy closed on 2001 when Bob and Bill Deck both retired. In 2007 the Ernst family reopened it as a restaurant (Doc's Soda Fountain) and the Deck family maintains a small pharmacy museum there as well.
