Long awaited...
But finally it's here. The legendary Route 66 connecting Chocago and Los Angeles, traversing wild deserts of Arizona.

It's my biggest creation so far, and the first attempt in car-making. Now I'm fed up with this - time to build a castle, don't you think? ;)
COL DU CALIBIER - height 2,645 metres (8,678 ft) is a mountain pass in the southern region of the French Dauphiné Alps near Grenoble. It is the ninth highest paved road in the Alps and the sixth highest mountain pass. It is often the highest point of the Tour de France. It connects Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne and Briançon via the col du Télégraphe, Valloire, and the Col du Lautaret.
47830 works 0Z50 Peterborough to Crewe Bas Hall past Whitehouse Junction 03/04/19. This was a route learning run and the first day of the 47 being on it.

Following a different route along to the coastline of the Buzburon on our way back to Marmaris, was real scenic, quiet and not many tourist we bumped into. I love the evening's fading sunlight plus warm dry air was exhilarating. Wish not to go back yet to Marmaris , but the girls remained there to have easy day in the hotel pool. So we have to get back to them and have our dinner in Marmaris .

On hire to John's Coaches as we have here is Lloyds Coaches Optare Solo SR YJ14 BCX is seen at bus stop A at Bangor bus station as this is on its first day operating the Sunday service for the route 2 from Bangor to Barmouth as Express Motors has now stopped operating the service 2 as Lloyds Coaches has now handed over the service as its working as normal on the route 2 to Barmouth. 2/04/17

This London route has changed a bit over the years, but in its day it was the most frequent route in London, as it served the Royal group of docks. The peak headway maxed out at 60 buses per hour!
On Saturday 26th March the London Bus Museum organised an intensive service over the route using a large number of preserved buses, the majority being RTs.
The star of the day was Guy Arab G351. The 101 was allocated these buses from 1945 to 1952.
This particular bus operated in London from 1945 to 1953. It then went to Burton on Trent until 1967. It was then preserved.
The driver was no less than former Transport Commissioner for London Leon Daniels. He drove it very well too!
