Vor ein paar Monaten habe ich bei Ebay eine Voigtländer Vitessa in einem ziemlich schlechten Zustand gekauft und fand darin einen Schwarzweißfilm, den wohl der letzte Besitzer der Kamera darin vergessen hat. Als ich den Film entwickelte, traute ich zuerst meinen Augen nicht - das war doch eindeutig das Konzentrationslager Auschwitz mit deutens Wachmannschaften und Schäferhunden! Wie kann das sein, wenn der Film aus einer Kamera stammt, die erst 1953 gebaut wurde, acht Jahre nach dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieg? Diese Tatsache und der relativ moderne Lastwagen rechts von dem Güterwagen brachten mich auf die Lösung des Rätsels: Da muss jemand bei den Dreharbeiten zu einem Auschwitz-Film private Aufnahmen gemacht haben! Vielleicht weiß ja jemand, der diese Bilder hier sieht, um welchen Film es sich handelt ...
A couple of months ago i bought a rather battered Voigtländer Vitessa at ebay and found a black-and-white film in it that the last owner of the camera forgot to take out. After developing it i was flabbergasted: What the film showed were definitely pictures from Auschwitz concentration camp! How could that be, i asked myself, considering the camera was built in 1953, eight years after the end of World War II ... But then i noticed the rather modern truck right of the box car and everything fell into place: Somebody must have taken private pictures at the set of a Film about Auschwitz. Maybe somebody who sees these pictures can tell me which film this might be ...

Noch einmal ein Foto aus dem Ludwig-Erhard-Zentrum in Fürth. Dieses Mal in seinem Geburtshaus fotografiert. Dort war es sehr dunkel und eng. Das Bild ist nicht ganz scharf, deshalb eine Old-Fashion-Version.

Sadly this is a scene that has been consigned to the history books as the famous train market in Ratchada is no more. In happier times before Covid this rather wet night at the tail end of the rainy season was the one we made our one and only visit. Glad we went but sad that we only made it once

This photo is not as sharp as would have liked, unfortunately getting old has its drawbacks when walking uphill and out of breath, it is difficult to hold the camera still. Carrying a tripod up this steep incline was not an option.
Sometimes a sunny day is all you need to turn your stale, confined, binge watching, fridge scrounging, dreary, end of winter existence around. However, sometimes a warm, foggy, rainy day will do just fine.

Das Brandenburger Tor aus einer anderen Perspektive. Im Vordergrund eine Ampel für die Fahrräder. Sie zeigt alle Farben. Manchmal füllt man sich auch so, und man weiß nicht ob es gerade rot, gelb oder grün für einen leuchtet.
Auf dem Flur zum "Raum der Stlle" hat mich dieses Lichtband, das sich in der Wand spiegelte, interessiert.
