The very first GG1 continues to rot away outside at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania alongside an Amtrak AEM7 that is already showing signs of rot.

It was designated a Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in 1983.

In 2012, PRR 4800 was inducted into the North America Railway Hall of Fame for its contribution to the railway industry.

Despite its historical importance, the "museum" continues to let it sit outside and rot.

Top edge of fascia is rotten, hidden by guttering.

For this shot i achieved gaining entrance to this elder mansoin. I had a shot in mind, that was linked to the piano, that you can spot on the left. It was left covered intentionally, as I planed to create a dreamy effect including the model, that is dancing to the invisible and not existing music. She wore a white dress, that war combined with the white cloth, giving her a farry-like look, while it floats arround her body.

Light: I did not use any strobes. I had them with me, but the sun beam, falling through the window was that fitting, that I decidded not to modify the light. Due to this beam she became seperated from the backround and her dress looked gloowing white.

Camera Settings:

ISO: 1000

Aperture: f/5.6

Exposure time: 1/640s

I used a higher ISO, as it was a day with changing light. Sometimes there were clouds covering the sun and sometimes they were gone. And I wanted to regulate the exposure only by changing the time. The exposure time, that I chose is maybe a bit short, but at this moment it turned bright and I shortened the time.

As I used the Nikon D700 I have plenty of headroom concerning the ISO.

My story with Neighthan Rot:

Well, where do I begin? When I first saw promo pictures of him online...my first impression was what the heck is this? Yes I am thrilled that Mattel is releasing another male doll in MH line but it wasn't love at first sight like Slo Mo.

I first spotted him in store (TRU) the week after he was released since I didn't have luck finding him the first week. After seeing him in person I was still just 'meh' on this doll but decided to get him in case he becomes harder to find later on. I left him in his stock box for a week debating whether to keep or not.

Then I spotted a second Neighthan Rot in store yesterday. This one was so goofy even when he was inside the stock box...his pose was different than the first one I had and somehow I do love that particular doll at first sight because of how funny looking he was inside the box! The second one's pant isn't as fancy and colorful but I decided that I am going to keep him instead and returned the first one to the store.

After I opened him and released him from his box, I've noticed that he has a small section before the horn part on his head that the hair was standing hard and stiff upward. At first I thought it might be glue and can be taken care of with water but nope..that small amount of hair still wants to stand upward and stiff. I guess this Neighthan is just so goofy from the beginning that maybe this is how he is meant to be...so I will leave him at that.

I really have my ups and downs with Mattel quality control. Even though the doll may be the same but you really have to see it in person to know the differences..at least to me they are different.
