Störche und Reiher an der Röllingwiese

Storks and herons at the Röllingwiese

Botanischer Garten, Berlin

Acer rubrum, the red maple is one of the most common and widespread deciduous trees of eastern and central North America. It is best known for its brilliant deep scarlet foliage in autumn, making it one of Indian Summer's main players - but the bloom is quite attractive too!

The inner demons have come out to play

How long have we been wrapped in decay

It keeps us blinded

They feed upon our hate

Only one sided beware of what awaits

Drilling into your superstitions

Taking a hold of you

Driving you to the ground,

In submission.
