The roots of the forest are exposed by thousands of footfalls over many years.

This scene was taken on a trail in southern Yukon that I have walked with my family, and my dogs hundreds of times over more than thirty years.

This photo was taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 and M.Zuiko 25mm f/1.2 Pro hand held. Post processsing was performed in DxO PhotoLab 5.4.x and Nik Silver Efex Pro 3.

You need both.

Good roots allow you to reach for the sky - every tree knows that.

In the rhythm of the dance, the past awakens. Strength, tradition, and spirit merge in motion—each step echoing the voices of those who came before.

The roots of an oak tree stretching across rocks along Haw Creek, in the Ozark Mountains of northern Arkansas.

"Rooted:" This is actually the scene outside a collapsed mine deep in the Prescott National Forest, off of a road very obviously no longer traveled. The soil that appears to have heavy erosion toward the center and left of the image is where the mine's tunnel once was, before the Earth swallowed it back up. To me, of particular interest was how the nearby trees, having lost their natural underground surroundings, had roots that branched across the chasm only to re-bury themselves into the ground on the other side. Natural adaptation at its finest?

An old tree long since uprooted.

Alien art

My art picture above is showing on a planet a cool alien, a bird, a space ship and an asteroid.

Human is a biological machine with a computer and following some rules, but to know how human functions is more important than to know who we are.

Consciousness, critical thinking, society and feelings - emotions are the main components of our existence as a human being.

Just with society and feelings - emotions effects, we are like a sail boat ( without an engine and a rudder ) in ocean. Wind could blow us anywhere, to calm or to very wavy waters.

The other two components act like an engine and a rudder, giving us the direction where we want to sail. We don’t go to very wavy waters.

If we are not aware of our consciousness, we are lost in ocean. Noting can help us anymore.

How would aliens maneuver in their lives?

If we think of aliens who would able to travel to us, we will realize that they should be biologically very advance and have a very high science and technology knowledge. The condition and knowledge would probably help them to maneuver better than us in their lives.

Their engines and rudders should function perfectly. Their societies should have rooted out racism, nationalism and other social differences. The societies should also give aliens clear information what to do in their lives.

Their compensating feelings and emotions should be very strong, not allowing the bad feelings and emotions surge above the acceptable limits. Their dominating feelings and emotions should be positive.

We must be aware of how we function and try not to be an engineless and rudderless sailboat in our lives.

I've been really unmotivated lately and haven't had any ideas for my work. I've been so busy with my Job as i'm currently saving to travel the world next Feb/March time. It sucks and it drains all my energy and creativity. This kind of (accidentally) shows how I feel.

Trees are like old friends. They are stalwart and solid, full of character.
