I'm not sure it is several trees so closely interlocked, or one that has multiplied. But it's a tree I've loved to record over the years!

An awesome tree root system, coming and going in and out and curling about. You may have noticed, I've worked with different hues/color tones to give this root structure image a bit more pop with old world charm.

This tree growing on a rock caught my eye on the hike down to Canyon Falls , Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Valley of Fire Recreation Area is located immediately adjacent to the Malpais Lava Flow. Approximately 5000 years ago,Little Black Peak erupted and flowed 44 miles into the Tularosa Basin, filling the basin with molten rock. The resulting lava flow is four to six miles wide, 160 feet thick and covers 125 square miles. The lava flow is considered to be one of the youngest lava flows in the continental United States

Rooted - Shot this one after braving the cold with Alex Clark and Steve Cole on a night shoot. On the way home I thought I'd scout a new location and practice the star trails. It's been years since the last one. :)

Spring melt is in full swing, and the rivers are rocking in Northern Minnesota. Here's one from yesterday morning at one of the most beautiful parks in the world.

This is from the Elitechrome 100 roll, our most successful roll I think.

The most popular of all the Hocking areas is Old Man's Cave, located on State Route 664. Here at the Upper Falls, the Grandma Gatewood Trail begins its six-mile course connecting three of the park's areas: Old Man's Cave to Cedar Falls to Ash Cave. This same trail has been designated as part of Ohio's Buckeye Trail as well as part of two national systems - the North Country Scenic Trail and America's Discovery Trail.
