Although Kwanon already called dibs on Photo of the Day for National Ice Cream Day, Vollenda took a picture of her celebratory root beer float. She thought it was also a great picture for today's Photo of the Day, so there are two official photos today. But hey, a day to celebrate ice cream deserves two images!

What you see here is 9 parts ice cream, 1 part root beer. They give you the can because they could only pour in about one tablespoon, the rest of the cup and jammed with ice cream. LosOlivos suggested it was really a root beer moat, rather than a float.

I really hate that I never do baking when it's light out =/
The backdrop on this was construction paper because white wasn't working too well. Hence the grainy looking texture.

Stage 2 in my home study on lactose intolerance. Something is making me sick and I don't know what it is! But after a week of no dairy, I'm slowly reintroducing it to see if I can find a tolerance level. So far, a cheese pizza and root beer float seem to be ok. Phew!
