(Corvus frugilegus) I find nailing exposure on a black bird in flight quite difficult so I was pleased with this one.

Rook - Corvus Frugilegus

I was sitting on a rock snapping away at what ever passed! Manningtree estuary.

At Ogmore by sea. munching on a Wayne Withers sandwich

There is a colony of rooks nearby, but they don't normally get close to the house. These nuts were too tempting though.

I am going to be completely honest with you - I think it's a rook, but I'm not sure.

And no, I wasn't very close at all - this is zoomed in when the bird was sitting on a low roof a few metres from me, on a small temple next to Sensō-ji.

Thanks for viewing my photos

Taken last winter.

High in the sky over our garden yesterday. I looked up because the rook was screaming at the buzzard as it chased it away. I had to zoom in to get a halfway decent photo.
