MV Queen of the North resting place.

MV Queen of the North was a ferry operated by BC Ferries. The ship was on its 17-hour route along the British Columbia Coast between Port Hardy and Prince Rupert, British Columbia, through the Inside Passage. On the night of March 22, 2006, with 101 people aboard, she failed to make a planned course change, ran aground and sank. Two passengers died in the incident, their bodies were never found. Interestingly enough this summer (2026) while on the Ferry MV Northern Expedition we felt the ferry slowing down a little in that area and shortly after it sped up. Two or three of us who knew of the sinking thought that perhaps the crew were paying a tribute to the lost passengers. She had a length of 125 metres (410 ft) and a capacity of 700 passengers and 115 cars.

My show "Rolloff" premiered this wednesday online, and we had over 1000 hits on our website with people watching the episodes! Very encouraging.

I was one of the judges for the show, and the first elimination was tough....but pretty justified. To check out the episodes and my video blog on the episode, check out www.wix.com/hacksawpictures/rolloff-season-2

Hands down the world's coolest/funkiest roll off truck.

I have now p/u one quarter of the carts from our trade with Republic. They have hauled 3 rolloff boxes out of my yard to date
