Nasty food photographs so well, especially in the evening light :)
PS - if anyone's curious, this was taken with a 7D. I'm shooting motocross this week and picked it up so I can put my money where my mouth is.. seriously considering letting go of the 5D II. :/

Chinese Restaurant "China City"
"Spring rolls are a large variety of filled, rolled appetizers or Dim Sum found in East Asian and Southeast Asian cuisine. The name is a literal translation of the Chinese chūn juǎn (春卷 'spring roll'). The kind of wrapper, fillings, and cooking technique used, as well as the name, vary considerably within this large area, depending on the region's culture."

At the Newark Sierra Paperboard Plant - this long corridor is only described as "Roll Pit #1" on official schematic. Though in the middle of demolition, it's easy to get a sense of the scale of this space, the sheer amount of 2x4s lying on the floor indicates the amont of roof space required to shelter this area, which ostensibly stored the rollers that flattened pulp for use as paperboard on everything from board games to cereal boxes and book jackets.

Also from the old Calsan website archived on web.archive.org before becoming inaccessible again. The 90's Calsan roll-offs and storage box color scheme is nearly the same as the 80's version except for two things. The green stripe is shifted one unit to the right, and the Calsan logo (Which appears to be from the commercial bin sticker design from the 80's, except a recycle symbol is placed on the bin part of the logo design) replaces the letter and phone number text info of the company. The logo is placed at the center, or the top-center of the roll-off. The logo is also placed at the center of the storage boxes. As of 2009, these containers are all spray painted by CalMet.
My first attempt to roll the kayak was on August 18, 2013.
Today I was able to roll the kayak for the first time.
The effort was worth it!
The paradox is that by the time the first roll occurs, there have been numerous attempts that result in many successful self-rescue's.
Todays first roll was not the result of trying to do a roll, it was the result of only a few minutes practicing the "hip flick".
That is the 'secret' ... that is the shortcut ... that is the magic.
Practice the hip flick and you will roll!
Even better it was really windy with an abundance of strong waves.

The water temperature was 15C/59F. I wore polyester/spandex underneath with cotton and wool socks. Nice and warm. No cramps from cold water!

Some shots from Christine and my 4th "couples roll". I started this roll by shooting on a roll of expired 800 ISO film on my Ricoh R1, then handing it off to Christine to shoot on top of.
These random double exposures are the result.
