Just picked up new lens for my camera today. I’ve been so busy with school it’s not even funny. Well, not just school, but I’ve been balancing out school, my girlfriend, and riding for the last few weeks, trying to pick up my camera when I can. But with new lens, I’m super motivated to just go out and shoot now, so I may be blogging more.

I was testing out my new Rokinon 14mm on my Canon 7D. This is the widest lens I've ever owned. Also the sharpest.

Aurora under near full moon. The moonlight significantly washed out the visible aurora.

Two sequences:

1) Nikon D780 with Rokinon 14mm at F/4.5, ISO3200, 1.6s

2) Nikon D780 with Nikon 50mm at F/2.5, ISO1600, 1.6s

Capture interval is 2 seconds, video is 30FPS. This results in a 60x speed-up.

Second sequence is pretty heavily colour edited to extinguish the blue sky glow from the moon light.

Morning bell!!!

This is at Lullwater Preserve and the dam is across South Fork Peachtree Creek . These photos were all taken with a cheap 10 stop neutral density filer. I was using between f8 and f11 aperture on a 12mm Rokinon manual focus lens at shutter speed of 30 second. Tripod was necessary of course!

First Shot with the Fish eye and i just pointed and shot and I like how the depth of field turned out.
