Launched November 1937 the model 81A carried the 85 hp version of Fords V8. The V8 was an instant success offering new found power and smoothness at an affordable price.
This LHD example was restored over a 10 year period to the mid 1980s by its enthusiast owner. Unfortuneatly he was forced to sell the car in 1986 due to illness, since then the car has been on in a Museum with the occassional outing, including taking a starring role in the 1988 Bob Hoskins film Who Framed Roger Rabbit

What with the addition of spinning cars to Roger Rabbit's Car-Toon Spin, it gets kind of tough to follow the loose narrative...so this detail kind of slips by. Essentially, after you've been blown up, instead of ending up in hell a la Mr.Toad, you find yourself falling out of the sky, towards the roof of a building. Jus through this crash door is the Escher-esque scene of Roger Rabbit in a Vertigo style stairwell. Simple enough, no?
