De rode klaver (Trifolium pratense) is een overblijvende plant uit de vlinderbloemenfamilie (Leguminosae ofwel Fabaceae). De rode klaver komt in het wild voor in heel Europa en in noordelijk en Centraal-Azië; zuidelijk vanaf het Middellands Zeegebied tot aan de Noordpoolcirkel. De rode klaver heeft zich ook in Noord-Amerika, Australië en Nieuw-Zeeland gevestigd.
Het is een vaste plant met een samengesteld, drietallig blad. De plant kan 15-50 cm hoog worden. De stengel is behaard. De onderste bladeren zijn rond en langgesteeld, de bovenste bladeren bijna zittend, langwerpig en aan onder- en bovenzijde bedekt met haartjes. In het midden van deze bladeren zit een lichte vlek. Naast de bovenste bladeren zitten eivormige blaadjes.

De rode klaver bloeit van juni tot in de herfst met roze tot rode bloemen. De bloeiwijzen zijn bol tot eivormig en hebben aan de voet van de bovenste bladeren steunblaadjes.

Artist Statement
"I like my work to speak for itself. So I will just say that art in all forms is something us humans need to do. I particularly need to express the perfect imperfection of nature. That I think is what makes it beautiful.
I use the somewhat unusual technique of fusing metals within glass because it adds a vibrant spontaneity to my compositions. My discovery of this technique has evolved from having majored in ceramics at the Tyler School of Art. In my clay work, I often used a glaze called copper red for its vibrant red and purple hues. This led me to experiment with including roofing copper and copper pipes in molten and fused glass. I suspected this might result in similar hues. To my delight, the process produced similar reds and purples as well as a range of other colors such as orange and silver. I have been in love with the process since, and have improved it over the past 6 years. I now include brass foil and colored glass powder to complement the copper. The exact outcome of the colors and tones are unpredictable, making each piece inimitably unique."

In this photo, separate layers were created to emphasis the reds and blues (using colour select) the mic had another layer to make it look more metallic and new
Ok, so here is my effort:) I knew I didn't have what it took to take great photos so gave up and rode horses under the eclipse instead. Awesome moment:)
On Sunday, June 15, 2014; we rode the Alaska Coastal Cruise Train from Seward to Anchorage. It was the most beautiful place.

Woensdag 15 oktober, nodigde de Minister van Ontwikkelingssamenwerking, Charles Michel, in samenwerking met de Belgische Coalitie tegen het gebruik van kindsoldaten, 60 Franstalige en Nederlandstalige leerlingen van het Notre Dame-college uit Basse-Wavre en van het Sint-Jozefscollege uit Aarschot uit om de film “Ezra” te bekijken. De film, die herhaaldelijk in de prijzen is gevallen, gaat over een jongen die onder dwang ingelijfd wordt bij milities in Sierra Leone en na de oorlog zijn leven moet hervatten.
Na afloop van de film bracht de Coalitie een debat op gang zodat de leerlingen en de Minister de mogelijkheid hadden om ideeën uit te wisselen.
Samen gaven ze hun Rode handen als teken van protest tegen het gebruik van kindsoldaten in gewapende conflicten. Voor meer informatie over deze campagne kan je terecht op de site www.kindsoldaat.be.
