View of the still used medivial castle in Rodes
Taken inside one of the language buildings along a side street in old town Rodes.
De rode panda dankt zijn naam aan zijn kleur. Hij is geen familie van de zwart-witte reuzenpanda. Hij eet naast bamboe ook fruit, bloemen, bladeren, eieren en jonge vogeltjes.
The red panda (Ailurus fulgens), also called the lesser panda, the red bear-cat, and the red cat-bear, is a mammal native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. It has reddish-brown fur, a long, shaggy tail, and a waddling gait due to its shorter front legs; it is slightly larger than a domestic cat. It is arboreal, feeds mainly on bamboo, but also eats eggs, birds, and insects. It is a solitary animal, mainly active from dusk to dawn, and is largely sedentary during the day.
This image is dedicated to my late brother-in-law, Ron who died the morning I took this picture. I saw this Mill every time my wife and I went to visit in hospital, it seemed fitting to shoot it after my wife rang me to say he had passed away.
