My family simply do not know how to be *silent*. My mother and brother drove me insane with their incessant chatter. We always had to be talking, even when we had nothing to say.

Some of my few good memories were of simply sitting, silently, in a chair on the deck of my hotel, watching the sun come up over Tiburon.

This little corner is in the new space. Most of the items have come from other parts of the house. The chimney was original to the house and we always wanted to keep it so we sealed it and painted it. The grey panel is the back of the kitchen. We had the kitchen company make this so as to stop any implements falling off the sides. Behind this is where the oven and hob sit. It also hides much of the kitchen when you are sat down.
