Found this little rocker for my future grandson on Saturday. He will be just old enough to enjoy the outside with us next summer.

Of course, we'll be right there beside him.

These aren't a fixture on every boardwalk, but Sea Bright has them. Konica Auto-Reflex, Kodak Plus-X (expired 2004), Rodinal 1:50.

Smile on Saturday - Christmas Deco

I love the preparation(s) for this event. I love the transformation of our homes into the Holiday theme. I love Christmas.

Prompt: Old cowboy sitting on his rocking chair on the porch of his cabin, drinking coffee with guitar beside him. On the wall is a sign "Good Morning" . Laying in front of the cowboy is a white west highland terrier puppy sleeping; the westie has his ears up

I was looking for something in a box today and could not resist pulling out a couple of CDVs to scan. The hair part here looks "boy" but the china head doll says "girl" to me. In any case the little one is holding tight to it. The rocking chair must have been a problem since there are stops under the rocker to keep it from moving. The back mark is for James Zelner of Mauch Chuk, PA.

at the end of the hall is this quiet spot with a quote by Robert Redford. i especially love the last line, "Nature and creativity obey the same laws, to the same end: life."

My very old creation but it seems to me very funny and curious enough to put it here! Sorry for small resolution :)

if it said "do not open" he would.

I painted this rocker a few months ago. It originally started life with a dark brown stain on it.

The only airport I've ever been in with rocking chairs!

So, this is where we're going to keep baby Zoe.

It was not my idea to hang the quilts on the walls.

Anne of Green Gables

This is the room in the house in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island, that supposedly belonged to Anne, the orphaned child that came to live with Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert.

People come from all over the world to visit Prince Edward Island. It is amazing to see the industry that has been developed around a fictional character. The Japanese, especially, seem to be in love with the Anne stories.

(I am in the process of learning how to use Elements and did manage quite a transformation on this photo. I'm amazed at the ability it has to correct distortion...)

My grandson, Nick, gave me this for Christmas.

Taken at Samlesbury Hall, Lancashire, uk.

I had the side with the bed, Kay had the side with the chair as you can see in the jail break photo

My wifey has been described as a "radiant" pregnant woman. I'd have to agree. :)

This is an old, weathered "Cracker Barrel" style rocking chair from our house in Atlanta.

It saw a season or two on the patio rather than the porch so this one is extra weathered.

There are two more (on the porch) that will be painted as well
