The rock in the foreground presented a problem when editing. I chose to clone it out, but that was a chore in itself. It isn't bad, but was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.
This scene is along the path towards the dinosaurs. The woods behind it is where the Florida Hammock Trail is. That is the more natural area of the gardens, and though I've walked it once or twice, have never found it to be worth the risk of walking into a spider web or snake for the kind of photos I got there. The main paths are much more scenic and the garden volunteers do a beautiful job of beautifying the place.

I finished painting the final rocker last week, and finished the kitchen chairs today. I'm hoping to get all the bigger projects completed by Thursday...
Yeah, right. I can dream. Heheh.
“God is good to all of us. He knows what we need better than we do. And just because he thinks it is better not to give you what you want right now doesn't mean he isn't answering you. You shall have what you ask for but not until the right time comes.”

I am also participating in ADAW this year. I think my first entry is already late. Oops.
Anyway, here is the outer dress that is paired with the inner dress of my previous photo. God, Heidi is so cute.
Thanks to Kanamal for inviting me!

On our second night of our road trip to Washington DC we stayed at the Rivers Edge Motel in Cherokee, NC. On the Indian Reservation. Nice little town, much quieter than Gatlinburg and no traffic Jams. Our preferred place to stay in this area when we visit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It was raining when we got in. The next morning it was foggy but finally got enough light to shoot our balcony as we were hitting the road. Every room at this nice little old motel has a balcony on the Oconaluftee River with two rocking chairs. It was so peaceful listening to the rushing waters.
A little slice of paradise!

Why yes, that is a real, live alligator.
Today, I turned 23. In less than two weeks, I am moving to San Francisco. It's ridiculous how quickly things are moving and it makes me nervous and I almost don't believe it's happening. (The plans occurred one week ago exactly.) We are going to have an 8 day road trip while driving there and stay at KOA cabins and eat food over the fire every night. And grill pizza. And get called 'Bigfoot' for walking silently past other cabins.
After lunch in Kokomo we were heading to the Mississinewa Reservoir to see if any wildlife were out and about since the area is pretty quiet this time of year. At the turn off of US 31 we spotted this large chair sitting in a lot beside the road.

My Dear Scotty,
May we delight in growing old together… all the way until our rocking chair days.
Happy birthday, Love.
