Jack and I took Rosie up the castle this evening, we saw this big rock on railway sleepers on the green in front of the castle, as the castle was closed there was no one around to ask what or where it was from.....

Big bright moon behind us gave good light for the foreground. It also stole away any chance to get a deep star field. Still, this was a great spot to do some long exposure Photogrophy with and Brother in Law.
The video doesn't show how steep this rock is............or maybe it seemed that way as I didn't want to fall.
Rock face below Cenobio de Valerón ("Valerón Monastery") , municipality Santa María de Guía, Gran Canaria, Spain.
Cenobio de Valerón is an ancient communal grain-store situated on a rock face of the mountain Gallego in the Barranco de Calabozo (Calabozo valley). It was built and used by the ancient canarians, the Guanches.
When it was discovered, people thought the little caves were a kind of convent where young women lived until they got married, so the place was called "cenobio" = "monastery".

joseph helped take care of my father during the worst time after his prostate surgery... the first 5 days after the surgery, dad was hallucinating... he only slept about 15 mins for those 5 days... he was constantly trying to jump out of bed or pull his tubes out... joseph was our rock... the man from lagos was calm... he took care of my dad, ann, and myself... he is a man of god... completed his seminary training... he has my respect.
I don't know if anyone else can see it or not but it looks like the thin rock pillar has a face and said face is shouting at the rest of the rock? I think I need to get out less so that I don't notice this kind of thing.
I was debating whether or not to upload a photo of the rock stack in full but there's only so much I can say about some rocks by the coast. Had these rocks formed a tunnel shape, I could probably write an essay. Anyway, here's a photo of Buddo Rock in all it's glory.
RSPB Fowlsheugh - Fantastic place for a visit on a nice day but a bit scary in a high wind I would suggest !!

Just a small part of the impressive rock city nearby the village Adršpach, on the border to Poland. Large unusual sandstone formations form a labyrinth of high towers, which is a very popular tourist target. Now in Summer it´s full with people, it´s better to visit it out of vacation season. The nature around is simply beautiful and well suited for on-the-foot tourism.
