Had a wonderful hike in Red Rock Canyon, just outside of Las Vegas. It is extremely beautiful and interesting. I love what I call naked geology, where you can see all the formation without trees blocking the view. www.redrockcanyonlv.org/

That is a starfish laying on the rock in the middle and this is a time lapse movie. The 32 seconds of video happened over a period of about 19 minutes.
The starfish moves very slowly. That’s why I did this as time lapse.
You may also notice that Hermes is in this movie. He is in the top left corner just hanging out. There is also another smaller hermit crab that shows up 19 seconds in at the bottom edge and moves up by Hermes. Another performer is a small snail that is moving around in the top middle by the star.
Of course some of the fish also had to get in the picture. The yellow tang shows up quite a bit in the bottom right corner. He likes to hang out there from time to time.

Chocolate and Black: the colors of the soil and the desert varnish covering the age old rock surfaces.
The Bass Rock is a 450 foot high crag at the mouth of the Forth of Forth near to Edinburgh. It lies a mile off the coast and is one of the largest gannet colonies in the World. The gannet is Britain's largest seabird with a wingspan of 6 feet.
Another shot of Camel Rock in Garden of the Gods from just after sunset. The soft warm light after the Sun fell below the next ridge was really picked up by the late Fall colors.
