Much of the show (besides the floats with drums, and parades of battles) was made up of dancing girls, dancing robots, girls dancing ON robots, girls riding robots... BEST. SHOW. EVER.
This is one of the matches at RoboGames. The big arena was off to the left, but these guys were fighting tiny little robots. They appeared to be self-controlling - the kids would turn them on, nothing would happen for a second, then they'd detect one another and try to shove each other off the platform. Robo-sumo.

If you have young kids (ages 4 to 7) to entertain and only some crayons and a couple pieces of paper, do this: each person draws a robot contraption (with lots of weapons and super-special abilities) on their side of the paper. Then, each person takes turns shooting each other. It's more fun for the kid than it sounds. Honest.

I ordered Sake. The little wooden box is a historical-style Japanese drinking cup. It is filled with sake. Inside that is a shot glass...filled with sake. It just doesn't get better than that.
There is no way to choose a favorite part of this experience, but the taiko drummers on floats were very near the top. My heart pounded with each beat of a drum! Amazing!
