i spent most of the morning in my garden with this little robin. he is very tame and doesn't really mind hovering next to my hand and taking a bit of bread. he won't land on my hand though.

Robin - Kensington Gardens, London.

American Robin...a backyard shot. The area around my house was going crazy with Robin's and Cedar Waxwings this morning - perhaps the berries have a little alcohol in them and the birds are having one big party ;). Just after taking this photo, two Robin's flew right at me and I could feel their wings graze my head as they sailed past.

Despite their cuddly and colourful appearance, Robins are quite aggressive and can often be seen attacking other small birds driving them away from feeding tables.

I haven't posted a robin for at least a week - so here's another one from a few weeks back at Bramall Park.

I tried to temp this little robin with some crumbs. It ignored them but still posed for me. Photographed within RHS Harlow Carr Garden.

In Bridge of Balgie at the Tearoom ,He was shivering a bit !

He seemed to be listening for an answer.

Hard to beat a cool dip on a hot summer afternoon.
