HBM!

Robin's have to be among my most favoured garden birds. They're inquisitive nature means you can get up close to these beautiful birds and get some lovely shots. This robin came bobbing through the grass and sat just in front of me. Check out my other robin photo posted in the comments below.

I can't take credit for this, it was taken by my daughter Lily. I am soooo jealous.

Today in my garden

Taken in Douglas, Isle of Man.

This robin is either very old or is very ill. He should have a lovely orange breast at this time of year to impress the ladies, but he has barely got feathers at all. He is tame even by robin standards, happily hopping around my parents kitchen eating cheese, which implies that he is pretty desperate.

Showing a competitor it's red breast.

This robin agreed to pose for me. Taken using my Tamron 90 macro lens

Taken at Burrator on Dartmoor

The Robin is one of Ireland’s most common and best loved songbirds.Robins are short-lived birds. Most will live much less than two years.

Robins nest in the grape arbor every year for at least two clutches. Here one is taking a break to admire the early sunshine. Like me, she seems to love the way the dew gathers on the baby grape leaves.

A Robin assumes the winter jacket look. London WWT, Barnes, London, England.

My first real trip out with the camera for quite a while yesterday, about the only shots I got were of this little Robin. A lovely little bird! Hope you all like it!
