Right after takeoff early morning from Cardak Airport in the southwest Turkish city of Denizli.
This picture has a companion in my photo stream which is shot within seconds before or after this. Look for it as well.

Hi everyone! I'm back from beautiful California (with jet lag) and happy to be posting again!! We had a fun filled trip with wonderful sunshine and best of all... the in-laws liked me!! :))
... this morning at the Exe Estuary, from Starcross, Devon, England, as the sun rose above and illuminated a bank of fog over the estuary. [As taken.]
More photos of the wonderful exhibition I went to yesterday.
Featuring 30 First Peoples artists and collectives, this sprawling exhibition serves as the physical and spiritual centre of Rising 2023, immersing visitors in Ancestral knowledge systems.

This series of landscape photographs is inspired by the gloomy prospect of rising sea levels due to the ongoing global warming. When I look at these images, I find it easier to imagine a submerged world flooded by the rising sea.
I don't know about you, but this notion gives me the creeps.

the very night we drove to photograph the Callanish standing stones on isle of Lewis under full moon, we passed by this loch and saw the mist rising under the almost day-clear light of the moon. It was a truly mesmerising experience especially after just having arrived on the island in the morning :)
Glad to be back!

A rising tide, crashing waves against a rocky coast line, and a setting sun provided all of the elements one could hope for.
An early start around the lakes at Harleston. The mist was low and the sun fought with it. In the end the sun won, here are the early rounds.
Always something special to see the full moon rising over the emptyness of the Makgadikgadi Pans. We drove onto the pans and first enjoy a spec. sunset and after that we witnessed a breathtaking moonrise !
From the ground,
rising up toward you.
Filled with all the strength I've found,
There's nothin' I can't do...
