Hazy, full moon rising up from behind the mountains,
Rows upon rows of red coloured blueberry bushes hibernating for the winter..

Needless to say, apart from the spectacle of colour the little fishing village has on offer, the onlooker (top left) caught my eye observing the proceedings down below.
Thank you for your time to view.
A splendid week-end to all !!!

This is a side stream off the Snake River which loops back into the Snake River. The Snake lies between the row of trees and the Teton peaks in the distance.
My brother's and I flyfish along the Snake River in this area. If you think they look majestic from here - you should see them after the mile plus hike in!
The rocky area across this stream has a small beaver dam on it. A series of beaver dams keeps the flow steady and low.
Happy Macro Monday!

A gently incoming tide just creeping up Achnahaird beach on our last evening, with a low sun lighting upthe cloud on the ridges. As usual, no one else was about, it was all quite magical. Rising sea by the Strange Death of Liberal England is appropriate in many ways!!
Please enjoy a view of the full Sturgeon Moon rising above the Seattle skyline in early August.
A few of my favorite moon photos are featured in one of my earlier blog articles: "The Night We Fell Under the Spell of the Moon."
There is a house in Charming Town
They call the Rising Sun
It's been the ruin of many a poor girl
And me, Oh God, I'm one
If I listened to my mama
Lord I'd be home today
But I was young and foolish
Handsome rider led me astray
Go tell my baby sister
Never do what I've done
To shun the house in Charming Town
They call the Rising Sun
My Mother, she's a tailor
She sewed my new blue jeans
My sweetheart he's a rambler
Lord he rides an old machine
Now the only thing a rambler needs
Is a suitcase and a gun
The only time he's satisfied
Is when he's on the run
He fills his chamber up with lead
And takes his pain to town
The only pleasure he gets out of life
Is bringing another man down
He's got one hand on the throttle
The other on the brakes
He's riding back to Redwood
On his father's stake
And me I wait in Charming Town
To gain my love as one
I'm staying here to end my life
Down in the Rising Sun
I'm staying here to end my life
Down in the Rising Sun
"Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul."
(John Muir)
I used this piece of driftwood as my subject to compliment the moment the sun rose at Plum Island yesterday. An early morning wake up but it was worth it.
“The man who has seen the rising moon break out of the clouds at midnight has been present like an archangel at the creation of light and of the world.”

Such a wonderful sky yesterday morning at sunrise, I decided to capture the posts, which are located to the right of Steetley Pier. Ive not been able to get quite so close previously but the low tide gave me the opportunity.
I'm not entirely sure what these structures were used for but they take a pounding from the sea and still appear vertical.
The view you can see is looking toward the Headland (Old Hartlepool)
More photos of the wonderful exhibition I went to yesterday.
Featuring 30 First Peoples artists and collectives, this sprawling exhibition serves as the physical and spiritual centre of Rising 2023, immersing visitors in Ancestral knowledge systems.

Many thanks for your visits, kind comments and faves, very much appreciated.
