I love natural abstractions! Sometimes they remind me of other things...perhaps this is a dancer here?
A sunset sky reflected in a pond with ripples made by the wood ducks. The natural colour rendition of the micro four thirds Leica/Lumix sensor in the D-Lux 7 is a real surprise for me, given that it has less than half the pixels of my full frame 45.7 MP Nikon D850. Don't be afraid to use this camera in low light. This photograph was also framed in camera using the 16:9 cinematic wide screen format setting.

A Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) duckling enjoying a moment in time in the late afternoon sunshine. The movement of birds and water is a facination to me.
As I was taking shots of the sunrise, I kept seeing ripples on the water even though the flags weren't moving. Finally I notice birds swooping down to get a drink. They were causing the ripples wherever they touched the water. 20160619RipplesDxLr
Ritsurin Koen (栗林公園) is a landscape garden in Takamatsu City, built by the local feudal lords during the early Edo Period. Considered one of the best gardens in Japan, it is often suggested that Ritsurin Koen deserves a spot on the list of the "three most beautiful gardens of Japan"
They offer a boat ride so you can see the garden from a different perspective.
This is a close-up photo of wind blown ripple refraction patterns and a bit of kelp embedded on a shallow sandbar in the estuary channel at Clam Harbour Beach.
I am always intrigued by patterns of light and shadow created by moving ripples in streams. This is a shallow stream cutting through the sand of an exposed beach at low tide.
