WaterFire in Providence, Rhode Island, USA
WaterFire is and award-winning sculpture by Barnaby Evans installed on the three rivers of downtown Providence, with over eighty sparkling bonfires burning right above the river.
Barnaby Evans has been lighting the fires in the City of Providence since 1994.
WaterFire has grown to be much more than fire, it is a free public art installation, a performance work, an urban festival, a civic ritual and a spiritual communal ceremony. Well known nationally and internationally as a community arts event
WaterFire is one of the world’s most popular nighttime experiences.
On September 21 and 22, 2012, Barnaby Evans installed WaterFire in Rome Italy on the Tiber River

It turns out that Rhode Island is the largest producer of turf grass in the North East. More than 4,000 acres of turf. That's a lot of sod.
Claire's bringing up three Rhode Island Reds for me to add to my flock this winter, when my one-year-olds start molting and slow down laying.
