Normally the Rhine flows here ... so we seized the opportunity to capture rare perspectives :-)
The High Rhine (German: Hochrhein) is the name used for the part of the Rhine that flows westbound from Lake Constance to Basel.
The High Rhine begins at the out flow of the Rhine from the Untersee in Stein am Rhein and turns into the Upper Rhine in Basel. In contrast to the Alpine Rhine and Upper Rhine, the High Rhine flows mostly to the west.
The term High Rhine was introduced by scientists in the 19th century. Above all geologists tried to differentiate the High Rhine linguistically from the Upper Rhine. Until the 19th century, it was also known as the "Badisch-Swiss Rhine".[1]
One of many 15th century towns that line both sides of the Rhine river near the gorge. Conjures up images of Lords and their knights riding from the castle to protect their lands as well as their maidens.
The Rhine in Flames is a fireworks spectacular that takes place along the most scenic stretches of the Rhine every year between May and September. From Rüdesheim to Bonn, spectacular pyrotechnics and curtains of fire bathe the riverbanks and landmarks in a magical red glow, and a flotilla of illuminated riverboats glides beneath mesmerising patterns of light in the night sky.
This is a scene along the middle Rhine River in Germany. They definitely have different trees than we do here in Oregon.
With a height of 23 meters and a width of 150 meters, the Rhine Falls are one of the most powerful waterfalls in Europe. They are located in Switzerland in the municipalities of Neuhausen SH (right bank) and Laufen-Uhwiesen ZH (left bank), near the city of Schaffhausen.

A slight MT3 toning seems likely to me, but I didn't make a note of it.
The ruin Landskron in Oppenheim permits framed views on the Rhine plain. While the Rhine itself is barely discernible in its bed, the cooling towers of the former nuclear reactor in Biblis are. Supposedly, on clear days it should even be possible to see the northernmost part of the Black Forest in a distance of more than 140km.

I took the photo from the train (Rhaetian Railway), when travelling from Chur towards Ilanz, Grisons, Switzerland. The Rhine gorge is largely inaccessible by road, but one can visit it by train or hiking. It is a popular location for rafting and kayaking.
