*sings* "And a black bear in an oak tree!"
Okay, so I have to rewrite the lyrics of the 12 days of Christmas to include this guy.
There's a story behind this image, so here it is:
We had a cold snap that morning and I was rushing to work with one of my friends - mostly for the sake of getting out of the cold. As we walked through the staff parking lot behind the office, I heard sticks cracking in the woods and thought to myself, "We should be careful, there might be a bear around..." So, I scanned the wooded areas, but didn't see anything on the forest floor.
I went in to work and sat down at my desk. A good half hour went by when suddenly, my supervisor walked in and said, "Christina, come here. You have to see this!"
So I followed her out to the parking lot. I could still hear those sticks snapping, but there were no animals in sight. Then, my supervisor directed my eyes up to the top of a skinny, but very tall oak tree. There, way up in the branches were two of the biggest black bears I'd ever seen! I walked right passed the two of them this morning, and didn't even see them, because I hadn't thought to look up.
Anyways, the bigger bear sat about half way up the tree and every time he moved you could hear the branches cracking underneath him. The smaller bear (the one in this photo) sat right at the top of the tree, swaying back and forth and up and down on the thin branches. The two were feasting on acorns.
Suddenly my supervisor covered her eyes, "I can't watch this! I don't know what to do if one of them falls!"
Well, we watched the bears a while more before returning to work.
Around lunch time I headed back to the staff house, and sure enough this bear was still up at the top of that oak tree. I brought my camera and telephoto lense with me when I returned to work from lunch and was able to get some photos of this guy. This means he was up at the top of that tree eating for at least 5 hours straight.
This wasn't the last I saw of this bear either, I met up with him every day for the next three days - in various locations of course.

Rewrite the Stars by Anne-Marie & James Arthur
www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRfmrE0ToTo
You know I want you
It's not a secret I try to hide
You know you want me
So don't keep saying our hands are tied
You claim it's not in the cards
And faith is pulling you miles away
And out of a reach from me
But you're hearing my heart
So who can stop me if I decide it's on my destiny?
What if we rewrite the stars?
Say you were made to be mine
Nothing could keep us apart
You'll be the one I was meant to find
It's up to you and it's up to me
No one could say what we get to be
So why don't we rewrite the stars?
And maybe the world could be ours tonight
You think it's easy
You think I don't wanna grow onto you, yeah
But there are mountains (but there are mountains)
And there are doors that we can't walk through
I know you're wondering why
Because we're able to be just you and me within these walls
But when we go outside you're gonna wake up
And see that it was hopeless after all
No one can rewrite the stars
How can you say you'll be mine?
Everything keeps us apart
And I'm not the one you were meant to find (the one you were meant to find)
It's not up to you, it's not up to me
When everyone tells us what we can be
And how come we rewrite the stars?
Say that the world can be ours tonight
All I want is to fly with you
All I want is to fall with you
So just give me all of you
It feels impossible (it's not impossible)
Is it impossible? (Say that it's possible)
And how do we rewrite the stars?
Say you were made to be mine
And nothing could keep us apart
'Cause you are the one I was meant to find
It's up to you, and it's up to me
No one could say what we get to be
And why don't we rewrite the stars?
Changing the world to be ours
You know I want you
It's not a secret I try to hide
But I can't have you
We're bound to break and my hands are tied
What is memory like? As time moves I don't recall every thing I have been a part of. Why do I keep some things and lose other parts of my memory? Do I even recall what I really did? What is reality is it what I do or what I recall? Can we Rewrite our lives by thinking new things?

Father and son collaboration
Our photographic art is a kinetic motion study, from the results of interacting with my son A.J and his toys.
He was born severely handicapped much like a quadriplegic. On December 17,1998. Our family’s goal has always been to help A.J. use his mind, even though he has minimal use of his body.
A.J. likes to watch lights and movement. One of the few things he can do for himself is to operate a switch that sets in motion lights and various shiny, colorful streamers and toys that swirl above his bed.
One day I took a picture of A.J. with his toys flying out from the big mobile near his bed like swings on a carnival ride. I liked the way the swirling objects and colors looked in the photo.
I wanted to study the motion more and photograph the whirling objects in an artful way, I wanted my son A.J. to be a part of it. After all, he’s the one who inspires me. When A.J. and I work together on our motion artwork, A.J. starts his streamers and objects twirling, I take the photographs.
Activating a tiny switch might not seem like much to some, but it’s all A.J. can do. He controls the direction the mobile will spin, as well as when it starts and stops. The shutter speeds are long, and sometimes, I move the camera and other times I hold it still.
I begin our creation with a Nikon digital camera. Then I use my computer with Photoshop to alter the images into what I feel might be an artistic way. Working with Photoshop, I find the best parts from several images and combine them into the final composite photograph. I consider the finished work to be fine art. The computer is just the vehicle that helps my expressions grow.
I take the photographs and A.J. adds the magic. It’s something this father and son do together. After I’ve taken a few shots, I show him the photos in the back of the camera. When the images are completed, I show him from a laptop. He just looks. He can’t tell me whether or not he likes the images, but he’s always ready to work with me again.
It offers me my only glance into A.J.’s secret world. We’ve built a large collection of images and I hope the motion and color move you as much as they do me.
A.J. inspires me to work harder to understand my life in the areas of art, photography, people, spirituality, and so much more. He truly sets my mind in motion and helps me find the beauty in everyday things.

Just to share some fast technical facts. I really love Photoshop CS5 as compare to my previous software. It make life much easier n swift to complete task instantly with fuller details n subtle control of colors. The ultimate end result had handsomely reward me with contention n satisfaction. The hour n effort put in had also tremendously minimize to allow for other great purpose in life, like admiring other photographers works as well. For all serious photographers to be..., Life is significantly much wonderful to unlease photoshop potential capability soon from a scratch start for those seriously interested in photo rendering business n assessment work.
Shame on me to have indulge 3 sentimental years hands on managing such inferior software, Photoimpact X3 with toil n pain end production result. Now, with comparison, I enjoy n witness the total evolve of my work flow been resurrect with life n satisfaction end production. Kudos to photoshop software.
Thanks for viewing!!!!

This photo relates to the flood in Gdańsk, about which I have written here, but I think I will rewrite the story again and provide a better view on the story background.
It's one of trains diverted from electrified mainline into secondary diesel route: originally nigh train no. 38209 from Kraków Płaszów to Koszalin. SU46-039 on the train head yet in original paint scheme from Żagań depot. After the diesel - here "cold" originally employed to this train EP07-338. The train is passing Gdańsk Osowa station entering two-track section towards Gdynia. July 11, 2001.

Auditions are tough for artists. You never know how well prepared is good enough for you to get the part. For audition of a role in the movie, The Greatest Showman, Zendaya did rewrite the song, Rewrite the Stars. I don't know if the acoustic version is the one she rewrote, but pretty delightful to the ear. Happy Monday, my friends! 🌸🎼💖

I have a lot to say about 2020, and even though I've been writing and rewriting this over in my head for the last week, I'm not entirely certain where to begin.
I think...2020 is the year that has cracked everything open.
Our sense of time has been warped, government systems have been put to unimaginable tests, the very foundation of democracy in the United States has been threatened, and there has been an unfathomable amount of loss and death and sickness and anxiety and fear. We went to concerts in January and February only to...not leave our houses for the upcoming (many) months (and still counting for a lot of us). We hoarded toilet paper, bought beans, planted gardens, and started to go outside more. We had to adapt and figure out new ways to teach our kiddos, how to safely do our jobs, and any sense of stability that we thought we previously had, has all but evaporated.
It is not lost on me that I am in a very privileged position to be able to say this - but for all of this? I am incredibly grateful.
The pause of 2020 has, personally, given me space to take a long and hard look at what has and hasn't been serving me. What's been stifling my voice. What's been neglected, that should be more-important, and what's been given a lot of energy, that should not be given a second thought.
I have lost relationships in 2020, family members have lost their lives, and friendships have suffered. None of these realizations are easy ones, but it almost feels like a blessing in disguise to be able to reevaluate priorities, needs, wants, etc. while we have the chance. How can we really figure out what we truly want, if we only give it a passing thought?
I guess, at the end of the day, sometimes the only way to let light in, is to crack things open. To shatter them, and to look at the pieces on the floor and to pick up what you truly need.
So while I'm not feeling especially hopeful or optimistic or even excited about the prospect of a new year in front of us, I will raise my glass (of homemade margarita because I'm pretending that I'm on some mountain top in Mexico right now) to the scars that we all have from 2020, and the beautiful things that have yet to emerge from the shadows of the light coming in through the cracks.
Oh! PS: It's tradition that I try this ridiculously and unnecessarily sparkly dress ever new years. It's a gentle reminder of where I've come from, how I've gotten here, and what I've learned along the way. <3
Rewrite The Stars | Yaquina Head Lighthouse, Newport, Oregon | For my beautiful wife who has this song on repeat. Happy 14th Anniversary Love. Did you know your personal explanatory style, how you explain the story of your life, has a direct impact on how your life unfolds? By crafting a more optimistic explanatory style and changing the story of your life, you can actually change how your future will unfold!
Today I released an e-course titled Re-Story your Life, Rewrite your Future that will guide you, step by step, through a process to change your narrative and craft a more hopeful future.
Even better, for the next month the majority of course sales proceeds will go to my cousin's GoFundMe account. He's been fighting cancer for two years (!!) and I am honored to be in a position to work with you to help him create and plan for a cancer-future.

This season was good. That is all I have to say because I wrote in depth thoughts and it all got accidentally deleted and I'm too lazy to rewrite all of that.
So real quick SPOILERS
"I am the future Flash"
That line was very clever
West family was good, I don't really like any of them that much though. Iris twist was very easy to tell in the last two episodes, but kept me in suspense most of the season
Barry always great
Jessie come back
HR was eh, he was fun but I wasn't that upset about him. Wonder what his girlfriend will do now.
Cisco was good, glad to see him Vibe up, and excited to see that his and Catlin's relationship is permanently fractured.
I miss the jerky Julian from the beginning his crush on Caitlin is something I couldn't care less about.
L-R:
Gypsy: she was good, hope to see her more maybe as a mentor for Cisco.
Savitar: this fig is kinda bad, but I wanted to make him. Still can't beat Eobard, but I think I like him more than Zoom.
Killer Frost: I love Catlin, I'm so glad to see her future in the show, and thank god she didn't take the cure. Her and Cisco's relationship being fractured shows the longlasting consequences with this season and I hope that doesn't just get thrown away. I think she will become an antihero of sorts. Kinda like what they're doing with her in rebirth.
Fig Formula:
Gypsy: Barbara head, agent 13 torso, black widow legs.
Savitar: Zod helmet, clear blue head, cyborg hips and reverse torso, black widow legs.
Killer Frost: storm hair, ivy head, black widow torso, scarlet witch legs. Color difference isn't that not I believe btw. Vitruvius cape coat thingy.
Anyway solid season.
Legends pic soon
Sorry Guy...
Fawkes: "Come on man. You can't drop me at such late notice."
Catesby: "Sorry Guido. But it's this rule of six thing. We don't want to stick out like a sore thumb. Plus, the 'terror threat', whatever that might be is at 'severe'.
*Fawkes trudges off*
Catesby: "Thank goodness he's gone. I had this terrible feeling that if we left it all to Fawkes, he would only ruin everything. I mean who's ever going to remember a name like Guido Fawkes".
Hello there. Relevant comments welcome but please do NOT post any link(s).
Every day, the ocean rewrites the rules. The tide shifts, the water rises and recedes, and with it, life in Zanzibar follows an ever-changing rhythm. For those who walk the shallows, the sea is more than just a backdrop - it is a provider, a battleground, a way of life.
I stood on the shore, camera in hand, watching locals wade through the water, scanning the seabed for fish, shellfish, or anything else the tide had left behind. Some moved with practiced ease, their feet knowing the ocean floor like an old friend. Others carried small spears or baskets, preparing to bring home their next meal or a catch to sell.
A few of them approached me, their hands full of the day’s harvest. They weren’t just fishing - they were negotiating, adapting, surviving. It struck me how different our lives were. For me, the sea was something to admire, to capture in a photograph. For them, it was their reality, their sustenance, their future.
The tides change every day, but for them, the routine remains: follow the water, gather what you can, and hope tomorrow’s ocean will be just as kind.
