Black-bellied Plover hiding in a tall marsh - New Jersey

When exploring the marshes of the Delaware Bay in Southern New Jersey, I came upon a large flock of migrating shorebirds resting in the tall grass. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect to find there while I was walking in the mud but the effort was well worth it. Thus far, I photographed Black-bellied Plovers only on the beaches. It was refreshing to find them in a different landscape. I can’t wait to revisit these locations again this year

Thank you all for kind comments!

Taken at Glacier National Park a couple of years back. We NEED to revisit this spot... Just waiting for nicer weather.. Summer seems like such a long wait.

This shot does not have explosive colors, nor crazy water movement, but I just like it cos it was really a gorgeous morning to be out looking at such a crazy beautiful scene.

A number of posts ago had this place in an Autumn splendor, lined in yellow and green during the harvest peak. I returned to revisit this same place to see how the season has changed it. Now carpeted in winter's cold, that same field is lined with snow. A very different look and a striking difference from just a few months ago.

A favorite abandoned farmhouse on mine. I need to revisit it soon to see if it still stands.

It's that time of year when the Dalmatian pelicans are at their best and many a company have their photo trips in full swing. Seeing images posted on Facebook I thought I should revisit my hard drive again and add some more to this wintery album.

After four hours and 6.5 miles of exploring - I arrived back at yesterdays favourite image and couldn't resist having another go:)

A revisit to the shots I took whilst passing through Taynuilt and its lovely old jetty posts.

This photo was taken in 2013 during my previous Project 365…please visit my album for this “REMASTERED” Project 365 as I revisit each day of 2013 for additional photos to share!!

Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D5000 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.

An archive photo of Sgwd Gwladys, from a visit 2 years ago.

Recently, I've looked back at the one I posted at the time and frankly thought it's not very good so I was glad to have time today to go back through my archive and find a better composition.

Sorry guys, there's still a few more posts to go before I've uploaded my favourites from the day!

This place has been haunting me for quite some time and I needed to pay another visit yesterday as I wanted to shoot it with my Reality-So-Subtle pinhole camera that produces a 14mm ultrawide perspective. I also brought along my DSLR and telephoto. I 'm not sure how the ultrawide angle from the pinhole would turn out. For sure, it would be dreamy as I had to expose for well over 3 minutes. I think it also works well with a telephoto due to its compressed point of view. Standing right next to my pinhole on tripod, I took this shot when no one was around. Kudos to the built-in GPS from my DSLR, now you know where this place is. If you haven't been there, I 'd suggest you bringing your love one and spending some quiet time there.

This species marked one of three Salamander species I had left in the state of California, outside the Genus Batrachoseps. My last trip resulted in all three of the species I needed. This was my first real trip in this region and I can't wait to revisit this spectacular place.

This location i visited a couple of weeks back when tide and access was not good, access was still not good but the tide was perfect.

This is almost my first shot as the sky was developing nicely.

Soon changed though but will show a few more later.

I took a long ride upstate yesterday. I visited Cooperstown Junction again. Some new equipment seems to be added to the collection supposedly owned by a nearby railway museum. For purposes of my categories, I'll list them as abandoned.

An old passenger coach.

I have posted a very similar shot from the same burst but I've always had it in my head that I could process it better. This is the result and as always when assessing your own images, it's difficult to know whether it's better or worse.
