We went to a place in Arizona where we were assured that we would see these Warblers, but it didn't happen! However, in a totally different location where we did not expect to find them, we had one lone Warbler come and visit just long enough for us to get a few decent shots. The challenge made the success sweeter!
Yesterday Inara visited the Annex of Nitroglobus and late in the evening the same day she published a great review with ditto images about Miu (miumira)'s exhibition UNSPOKEN in her blog LIVING IN A MODEM WORLD.

The pyrrhuloxia or desert cardinal is a medium-sized North American song bird found in the American southwest and northern Mexico. This distinctive species with a short, stout bill and red crest and wings, and closely resembles the Northern cardinal and the Vermilion cardinal which are in the same genus.
