The Westinghouse Brake & Signal Company Ltd, Veteran Employees Association was a works club for employees who had been with the company 21 years or more. The club also provided services and facilities similar to a social club. In 1992, the club changed their name to the Westingthouse Long Service Employees Association and is still active.
The Westinghouse Brake & Signal Company Ltd was formed in 1935 when the existing company was reorganised. Throughout its lifetime, the mainstay of the business was the design and manufacture of railway air braking systems and railway signalling equipment. The main engineering workshops were based at Chippenham.
