This is from a few weeks ago, the same day as "Late in the day High in the Air" at Mt Buffalo, Victoria.

I wasn't going to upload it but it goes well with the previous two tree shots.

I've had this new toy in my hands for the last month, the Reveni Labs Spot Meter. It's pretty neat, and all the photographs I've made with it I'm uploading here to Flickr in higher res. Check out the full review here:

Lorne beach.....

Since pre-Covid times, I've been tinkering with a process that takes RA-4 color negative paper and exposes them directly in camera. With enough light, careful filtration, and extra darkroom processing steps, some pretty cool results can be achieved. I'm not going for 100% realism with the colors in this process like some are, just something different from what's available with new and expired color materials today.

You can see more on this process over on my YouTube channel:

This is from the second roll of Delta 100 Reversal Processed.

The tones are much better in this roll and even though this is a night shot and it is a littl hard to judge, I'm really lovin the results, apart from the weird lines.

Gibson Beach. This was late afternoon mid week. I can remember when we used to surf here in the 80s and even on weekends there would be no other footprints on the beach. I have to admit, it looked kind of weird to see this many footprints.

One of the kindest, hardest working photographers I know is my friend Tariq Tarey. By day, he helps refugees settle into their new lives in the United States. By night, he documents the lives of the very same refugees he's surrounded by in Central Ohio.

Just being in the same room as Tariq forces me to work better as a photographer. His understanding of light and portraiture are masterful, and I can't help but make portraits when in his company. Today, however, Tariq was the subject!

These are two test sheets of expired TMAX 100 developed as B&W slides. The reversal process is a bit harder to control than regular B&W development, but the end results are something special. Transparencies were scanned to retain the warmth from selenium toning.
