Como aquél que recorre el insípido camino más corto, como el que ve en un beso un trofeo, se limitó a confiar en sus palabras, le bastó escuchar para creer, en su mente se había firmado un contrato, un pacto que en realidad carecía de sustento.
Ella no lo amaba, pero no lo sabía. Sólo ver sus ojos y escuchar su risa la satisfacían de alguna manera. Volver a abrazarlo, a sentir sus labios, saber que ahora él era feliz, creer que las cosas ahora estaban niveladas, no tener que volver a escucharlo decir que la amaba y sentir culpa. Todo ahora había cambiado. Pero supo en ese instante que el poder de las palabras no era real cuando no se advierte el brillo en los ojos, que sólo ese brillo puede acompañar a un “te amo”.
