I don't know what it is, but the Kmart bags down here seem to be less durable then what I'm used to back up north. The one handle pretty much fell off after hauling it inside and a hole started in the bottom of the bag.
I know I said wouldn't be uploading, but I thought I'd take this moment to say I've gotten lots of pictures and I still have more to take. I currently have over 1,000 pics that have yet to be uploaded, some of which are still from up north.

Dick's Sporting Goods (8009 Stonewall Shops Square, Gainesville, VA 20155): Opened on October 26, 2011 as a newbuild to an empty parcel in the center. Typical modern Dick's store.
Staples (7973 Stonewall Shops Square, Gainesville, VA 20155): Opened on August 2, 2008 as another store in the center. Haven't been inside to really know this store, but I'm assuming it's just your average Staples store from that time period.
A long vacant, iconic "A-frame" IHOP along Memorial Ave in Chicopee, MA. This location along with several others in the Springfield area adhered to the swiss chalet-lite looking alps lodge motif.
The building was demolished sometime after 2010 but the sign remained a few years after until McDonald's bought the property and built yet another box-like "modern" location.
45575 Dulles Eastern Plz Ste 188, Sterling, VA 20166
Store originally opened in 2001, part of Dulles Town Crossing, the big-box counterpart to Dulles Town Center. Recieved the major chain-wide interior refresh in the mid 2000s to include the Magnolia Home Theater. Remodeled again in 2012 with the interior and exterior prototypes.
Contains a varied set of Best Buy features inside, such as the Windows store, Samsung store, Magnolia areas, and the professional kitchen.
To the distance was once and still is a vacant cinema which has long struggled to find a new tenant. We weren't certain how much of it was still intact apart from the signage on the outside.
New retail-office strip with new Dunkin' at Renaissance at Marlton (NJ), redevelopment of the former Tri-Town Plaza.
A former BIG Kmart in Lake Grove, NY along Nesconset Highway closed early 2003 and remained vacant a few years after.
Today, the site is home to Lowe's. Here's now it looked in 2006.
View of Marlton Commons Shopping Center passing over the Route 73 overpass. It originally opened in 1973 as Two Guys Shopping Center with a strip of small stores which have since been replaced with two big box stores. The Marlton Comons name came a couple of years ago after Vornado sold the site, before it was just named after the anchor store - Two Guys then Jefferson Ward, Bradlees then Kohl's. Shop Rite took over the former Two Guys Supermarket space shortly before the rest store closed - It has been here the longest and generates the most traffic here since it is the only supermarket in town (there were as many as six at one time).
Friendly's came along in May, 1983. In the mid 1970s a Roy Roger's Restaurant was added on a pad site beyond Friendly's in this scene, which later became Boston Market. it was demolished in the late 2000s when a driveway was relocated and replaced with another pad site building nearby housing Bank of America, partly hidden behind Friendly's in this scene. Recent addition Shake Shack is at the far right.
Time for a brief change of pace from steel mills.The Kmart in Belle Vernon was being partially demolished to make way for a new retail plaza. When I took these pictures, I thought I had color film loaded up, but turns out it actually was some expired Tri-X.

Kohl's first Off Aisle discount store in a portion of the former Clover Store on Route 70 in Cherry Hill, NJ, scheduled to open in June. Kohl's says they will sell items here that were returned to Kohl's stores and online that are still like new and the offering will eventually be expanded. The exterior uses Kohl's brown and tan color scheme.
I'm overwhelmed with all I want to click on, it's going to take me ages to get round everyone but I'll get there eventually…
One chapter closes, another begins. We all know the drill...
I began my foray into retail photography in 2011. Sometimes we wish time could stand still, that a moment could be preserved for the future and saved from being thrown in the memory hole to be lost forever. Photography has been there for me as a hobby for me through the good times and pushed me to overcome those times that were horrible. Over the years, I've grown as a photographer and most importantly, as a person. I've met or talked to many great people and truly appreciate the support from all of you over the years. Through photography, I was given a sense of purpose in this world that sometimes seems to be lacking one.
Please enjoy these photos from my trip to the Galleria mall in downtown Cleveland back in June 2015. I somehow never got around to posting these photos from one of my all-time favorite photoshoots. These photos to me symbolize the high point of my photography, as I was actually being filmed by a crew from Vice at the time (visible in the background of some of these shots). I was always going on day trips to photograph new locations and posting regularly back then too. It seems like now is as fitting of a time as any to post some of these shots.
One of the hard lessons of life is that nothing lasts forever... I'm now 23 and focusing on going forth with a career. Lately, I've been mostly working six days a week; it doesn't appear that will change anytime in the near future. A large part of me wants to continue to capture and post new photos, but sadly I just don't have the time anymore. I have never made money off of my photography nor do I see any path towards doing so. One day, I still plan to own my own business and hopefully even have time for photography again. I'd love to get permission to explore abandoned places plus take the time and effort to capture some amazing photos that would put anything I have done up to this point to shame. It looks like it is going to be a while before (or even if) that happens though. I will likely still post some things sporatically, but nothing like I used to.
So one chapter closes and another begins. There's plenty to look forward to on the road ahead plus i'll be sure to look back on the past every so often.
So, it is with a heavy heart that I say farewell, at least for now...

This is a departure form my normal portrait style (whatever that is) I was having a go with a wide angle (10-20mm) LittleMissPhotocillin and I were killing time in Camberley yesterday. We won Custard the Cat in one of these grabber machines. The shopping trollies were abandoned in the middle of the pedestrian precinct.
LMP hasn't been in a shopping trolley for years......hence the title
No it's not a HDR but I used the "punch" preset in Lightroom and increased the clarity over LMP
