Avalanche Glasgow, the home of trained music retail professionals. Here to retail! Saturday 13th January 2007.

I'm not a shopper - I didn't bring back anything from Italy but some photos (and a couple of extra pounds!). But when I saw this image when I got home I thought, "Darn. I could have used one of those cutting boards".

The christmas tree at Jenners Department Store in Edinburgh.

Every year they have a huge tree, though I'm not sure how they get it inside.

A. Finkl & Sons Company was founded by Anton Finkl in 1879. The company’s first manufacturing facility on the North Side in the W. Cortland/N. Kingsbury streets area opened in 1902. Now the world’s leading supplier of forging-die, plastic-mold and die-casting steels and die-casting forgings, all of the company’s product are produced at its facility at 1355 E. 93rd St. The new plant was opened in 2011, and all of its North Side facilities were demolished in 2015. It’s been reported that Sterling Bay, the Chicago-based developer active in the Fulton Market area, is negotiating to buy the 28-acre site.

NOTE: Located on the northern half of the former Lincoln Yards site in Lincoln Park, Foundry Park is in the planning stages by developer JD for 2026, since the company purchased the site in 2025 after the previous megadevelopment stalled. The project will be centered on extending and reconstructing N. Southport Avenue and W. Cortland Street. Several additional roads and alleys will also be included around the northwest end of the site. JDL, which is also the developer of North Union and One Chicago, has been working with HPA and Nudge Design on the multi-phase development.

The overall project will include 3,737 residential units, 350,000 square feet of office space, 420,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, and 200,000 square feet of additional uses such as hotels, parks and parking.

Browsing the reduced rails and trying on a selection of dresses will banish your worries and bring happiness. This was specially true for me in this dress. As I stepped out of my little room to check this dress in the big mirror at the end of the corridor, another woman said "That's beautiful!" Women are not ashamed to do these things for each other.

I'm taken with those shops which seem to float between total abandonment and an actual trading entity. This one appears to be closer to the former than the latter.

If you saw this lady at the mall, would you smile and say hi? 😛

Thwarted by construction activities below on Queen St. during our Toronto photo outing, we switched plans to photograph the iconic Eaton-Bay walkway from inside.

What girl does not enjoy a shopping trip, I wanted to treat myself to some new tops like the one I am holding here and while out I also bought a really lovely dress. It was a great day.
