The August 22, 2016 "Cruisin' on the Bayou" cruise in downtown Belleville, a small city about twenty miles west of Detroit, Michigan. This is a terrific event sponsored by the Bayou Grill with two blocks of Main Street and some side streets closed off.

@Legomasino made the cross-country journey to Cars & Coffee this weekend to take delivery of his new Restomod Z. Some west coast vibes, a few cups of black gold and the downright frightening snarl emanating from this beast made for a great day indeed. Cheers, Legomasino! Beard Goals!!!!

This Restomod Z is a lightly modified version of Legomasino’s super slick Datsun 240z design. Instructions are now available through his site legomasino dot com. Head over and check ‘em out.

Dark and Stormy.

The classic G body 911 has always been a sacred thing to me. It was love at first sight, and the passion for the 911 silhouette has never left me.

This build is an homage to that very silhouette, and just might be as close as I ever come to owning one. It was important to me that the build felt unique to my style and distinct from the other talented builders who have already produced very excellent 911 designs. I kept it clean and traditional with some classic chrome accents, and twisted it just a little with some stance and attitude influenced by @button_built x @brixtonforged x @mr.simonsson.

May the flat six be with you.

This baller hauler is a café racer style 1969 Volvo Amazon 122S restomod, ready to kick some ass and take some names.

Replete with roll cage, racing seat and a dual exhaust, this beast is anything but your average family grocery getter.

Shout out to @Jonathan Elliott for teaming up on this café racer style Amazon wagon build-off challenge. It continues to be really fun to see how differently we both approach the same concept!

Legend Status.

The Hakosuka Skyline coupe is one of the most recognized and sought-after classic Japanese automotive designs and something I’ve wanted to capture in Lego form for some time now. The Hakosuka has had a massive influence on modern tuning culture and I wanted to reflect that by putting a little extra into this build. This particular example is a tasteful restomod with a modern update including an RB26 engine swap to keep things interesting and emissions compliant :)

Premium Detailing Mode was employed for the taillights, a signature element of the Hako. I started by designing a taillight insert for the rectangular trans red tile and then trimmed thin strips of chrome silver adhesive vinyl. I applied the strip along each side of the taillight lens to create a trim surround look.

This build is part of a Skyline double feature cooked up with Legomasino. Visit IG to check out both of our builds: Hakosuka Skyline GTR @pleaseyesplease and Kenmeri Skyline GTR @legomasino!

Inspired by Jonathan Elliot's take on a BMW 2002 restomod. I re-created his 6 wide version first, then decided to go 5 wide. I worked with these motorcycle rims from the start as I thought they fit the proportions a bit better.

It was a real joy to build and hereby I thank Jonathan Elliot for the inspiration. Check him out! www.flickr.com/photos/jon3lliott/

Ring in the New Year!

Friends of Yes Please dropped by Cars & Coffee this week for an End of The Year car meet. We got over caffeinated, over chatty and got to kick the tires on some very special projects. Keep your eyes open for some fun stuff coming this year!

Special thanks to my all-star guests @Prototyp, @Jonathan Elliott, and @Legomasino. I made custom minifig versions of you and modified your already brilliant designs this year, and you were all nothing but gracious, encouraging and collaborative. It was really really fun, and I’m glad you could all make it for one final Cars & Coffee bash to close out the year!

I hope you enjoy and Happy New Year!

The quintessential French classic, and one of my all time faves. In honor of its timeless legacy the PYP garage is debuting this bad boy: Tuned, dumped and ready to melt some faces!

A big shout out to @prototyp for joining in on this 2CV build challenge. Make sure you head over and check out his mighty 2CV - Le Rongeur!

Fabulous Firs.

Mr Jon Elliott recently wrapped up a west coast vacation with a visit to Cars & Coffee. We needed help getting the last holiday tree in place and Jon was perfectly equipped to pitch in with his ultra-classy restomod Vantage V8. Cheers, Jon!

This build is an extensively modified version of Jon Elliott’s regal Aston Martin Vantage kit. I upgraded all the light bluish gray elements to chrome, altered the roofline to accommodate Santa Jon, added a utility roof rack, and stanced it on chrome wheels which also appear here with super premium extra flair due to some absolutely brilliant BBS wheel inserts designed by @Prototyp.

I hope you enjoy and Happy Holidays!

Tiny Terror.

The official TLG Mini Cooper set was nothing short of brilliant, and a pure joy to build. I loved everything about it, and I mean everything. It’s a magical little thing.

So of course that meant that I needed to tear it apart and rebuild it into a little monster with some attitude!

Nikon D7100 Sigma 17-50mm 2.8

The old 70's drawer from my grandma's closet, strangely fitted exactly on the width and on the lenght of rear rack, so i decide to ..mod it a bit by making the YAHOO logo in japanese sideways and remove the knob. the result its absolutely great, and due to it age its...period correct with the cub! (:

Red Dawn.

If you follow me, you know I have deep love for the 911 silhouette.

My previous 911 Restomod build was a development concept for creating building instructions, and this red example helped me refine my design as well as dial in a satisfying build experience.

Now you can build your very own Porsche 911 Classic as seen here using my building instructions, now available on rebrickable at the link below. The instructions include the full build with room for a minifig driver, optional alternate wheels (as shown here) and detailing tips.

Street Muscle Legends - Chapter 3

The Torino Talladega was one of Ford's first forays into producing track-focused homologation models intended to dominate the racing scene. The Talladega changed the muscle car landscape by being the first limited production car to incorporate design changes based on wind tunnel testing into both the silhouette, side rocker panels and front fascia of the car, all leading to significant performance enhancements and legendary status. The PYP garage has been humming along all week to the tune of this beastly hunk of 60's muscle and the smiles just keep coming.
