At the Route 66 Casino, I-5 Design and Manufacture created a design that blended historic imagery of the old Route 66 highway, and the legend of ‘Thunder Road’. Radiating out from the center of the bar are rustic wood beams with red LED lighting in a web-like pattern drawing the eye to the bar and stage. All of the wood tones, light fixtures and accent lighting create a warm look and feel for the entire venue. Click here to see more examples of casino design
public house restaurant is a delightful mix of old and new. an old fashioned menu is updated with modern takes, and a historic building is updated with a modern addition. the blend of old and new create a delightful atmosphere. this upscale meat and three restaurant located in chattanooga, tennessee maintains a clean environment with the use of white board and batten walls, white booths, and black and white photos. the historic integrity of the building is preserved in the beams, exposed brick wall, and beautiful old windows. hardwood floors transition to the new addition without feeling like you are entering a time warp. warmth in the bar is created with beautifully patinated steel and wood shelving. cke interior design created the warm atmosphere that you see in these pictures.
For The Rock Wood Fired Pizza, I-5 Design and Manufacture created this facade upgrade to create an eye-catching entry for the location. The challenge for this project was to create a look for the exterior, as well as for the interior, that used elements from the 60’s-70’s rock and roll time-period and combined it with a microbrewery wood fired pizza theme. Kansas City-based Glace (say it this way, “Gla-say”) Artisan Ice Cream is a more grown-up sweet treat expression, rich in texture and inventive flavors like Venezuelan dark chocolate, fleur de sel caramel and pineapple-cilantro sorbet. The corresponding brand expression is clean, sophisticated and a nod to the owner’s love of modern minimalism. At the same time, copy and color palette make it feel fun and approachable. The logo also incorporates a sly tie to ice cream with circles that look like melting “drips” hitting the floor, while tailored graphic elements make the identity feel fashionable and unexpected in the category.

This is the conceptual interior design for the Pastazzi Restaurant, a fast gourmet pasta restaurant, by I-5 Design and Manufacture. One of the challenges that I-5 worked through on this project was creating a design that would change the existing venue from bland and unattractive to a modern and sleek Italian look. This was produced by the simple color palette, décor finishes and design elements. Click here to see more examples of restaurant resign

For this restaurant, I-5 Design and Manufacture created a customized 3D design rendering that was rustic, as well as tied into the surrounding area. To give the venue a contemporary and outdoor feel, we incorporated wood and timber materials in a variety of applications such as ceiling beams, which visually lower the ceiling. Custom amber mica chandeliers add warmth to the space and mimic the shape and pattern of the wall sconces to produce an overall inviting ambiance. To view more casino design, click here.
They must get it a lot. Silly, ignorant, wishful customers hoping for a taste of The famous Snickers, by Queen of Desserts Philippa Sibley, at all hours of the day. Well, I can confirm that they don't serve it at breakfast, even if the polite waitress humoured me by "asking the kitchen", and then feigned empathy when she told me the bad news.
Just as well, the breakfast was still as good as I remembered it, and they added Black Pudding as an optional side. Bonus!

Reviews:
- Il Fornaio, by Larissa Dubecki, The Age, September 7, 2010
NOT since the invention of the Peach Melba has there been such a kerfuffle about a dessert. ''The famous Snickers'', as the menu at Il Fornaio calls it, and for once I'm inclined not to retch over the food-related use of the adjective. ''Famous'' on a menu usually means the dish in question isn't famous at all - but the Snickers? The Snickers is famous. The Snickers is so famous it should have its own agent, a magazine deal and a coke habit.
The Snickers and its creator, Philippa Sibley, have moved around a fair bit but they took up a new permanent residence recently at this former bakery-cafe in St Kilda, where they've conspired to capitalise on Sibley's reputation (''dessert queen'', ''queen of pastries'', ''passionate pastry whiz'', as Google attests) by trading at night-time primarily as a dessert restaurant (during the day things are far more cafe-like).
- Not just desserts, by Larissa Dubecki, The Age, August 24, 2010
Philippa Sibley’s Snickers dessert needs little introduction. An instant hit when she first put it on the menu at Circa five years ago, her signature dish recently found a new lease of life at her new St Kilda digs, IlFornaio, and through being showcased on MasterChef.
‘‘Oh my god, straightaway it was a monster,’’ recalls Sibley of her take on the peanut and caramel chocolate bar first released by the Mars company in 1930. ‘‘We had a table of five come in and order eight of them, at $25 a pop [the IlFornaio version costs $19]. We sold 700 of them in one week.’’
For the Woodies Café, located in Santa Cruz, California, I-5 Design and Manufacture created conceptual designs, which portrayed a fun and energetic ambiance based around “woodies” automobiles and beach elements. Above the order counter, custom signage reading ‘Woodies Café’ and vintage car memorabilia are mounted to an aged brick wall and the custom counter facing is a compilation of various types of wood to add dimension and interest. Master plan and supervision for the Laakhaven area behind Hollands Spoor station; The Hague University for professional education; Multi-storey public underground car park.
The Haagse Hogeschool or The Hague University of Professional Education (1990) is configured as an assemblage of 'teaching wings' reached from a central core cum service unit. This oval-shaped core is the spatial, functional and symbolic hub of the extensive complex (82,000 m² floor surface area) which accommodates daily 13.000 day students and 2.500 evening students. The teaching wings together add up to three kilometres of classrooms and practical labs plus the same corridor length of rooms for the 1200 teachers and other staff members.
In 2006 The University entrance hall was revitalised to give it a contemporary look. The hall and it’s adjacent spaces were adapted and improved to meet new demands.
All parking places in the Laakhaven area are concentrated in a tunnel-shaped underground public parking garage set below the waters of the former harbour basin of Laakhaven. PRO is also responsible for the design of the public space.
