This is an Autostitch composite picture of the Holden Efijy concept car on display at the General Motors showcase in the parking lot of the Athens Coney Island diner in the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak during the 2007 Woodward Dream Cruise.
When I think of American car companies that operate in Australia, I primarily think of Ford, but GM also operates in Australia through their subsidiary, GM Holden Ltd.
The Holden Efijy is a retro-styled concept car with a design evocative of the automobiles of the 1940s and early 1950s, especially the Holden FJ (which was made in 1953; I guess Australian designers were still into curvy styles while American cars were beginning to sprout tailfins).
From Wikipedia:
Richard Ferlazzo was the designer behind the Efijy project. He began sketching the first designs in 1989. The main reason for making this car is purely for entertainment. “Invariably, people smile when they see it for the first time. Efijy is our accolade to the talented designers who cut loose with some fantastically flamboyant styling in the post-war 1940s and 1950s,” Richard Ferlazzo said. “Ask the question, ‘what would these people have created using all the skill sets and technology we have now’, and Efijy might be the all-Australian answer to that question," in relation to the original FJ designers.
The engine used is a Chevrolet 6.0 litre LS2 V8 engine that has been supercharged and modified by Ron Harrop, an ex FJ racer and well respected automotive person in Australia. The engine produces 480 kilowatts (645 bhp) and 775 newton metres (560 ft·lbf) of torque through the rear wheels.

I have no idea why I didn't post this when I was posting the other pictures of the Efijy.

Shot taken in early morning at Rua da Felicidade, Macau SAR.
Rua da Felicidade, known as “Street of Happiness” in English, was once a popular nightlife and red light district in Macau during 1930s to 1940s.
Rua da Felicidade is an old street which is located in southwest of Macau peninsula. It connects with few allies nearby, from Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, and formed the heart of the old inner district in Macau. As one of the oldest streets in Macau, the high historic values are preserved well and can be found everywhere in this narrow street. Two–storey buildings in Chinese Lingnam style were constructed along the roadsides, with charming red awnings, window frames, grey brick façade and the top of the walls are decorated with plaster ornaments features. Just a regular restaurant in Amsterdam.
I don't know how to make photos like a pro but my photos are the memories from my trips.
Hallway leading to Trains
Attached to the main building to the south is the station restaurant designed by southwestern architect Mary Colter (the last of the "Harvey House" restaurants to be constructed as a part of a passenger terminal). Although now usually padlocked and stripped of many interior furnishings, the topology of its rounded central counter, streamlined booths, and inlaid floor patterns remain.

The Indian Coffee House would be the oldest surviving coffee shop in India with a pan India presence. Their coffee comes in spartan cups with no design on top. While the Starbucks, Costas and the Cafe Coffee Day chains do provide you with design work to make your day interesting. Maybe the Coffee House suffers because of not getting to speed with interesting frill work such as this or maybe there is a general change in how you do business these days.
If you want to see some immaculate design work done of hot coffee cups do have a look
Shot on location at the Indian Coffee House in Mohan Singh Place in New Delhi for BBC GoodFood Anniversay issue of November 2013. I do not remember if this is in the actual display.
The spartan coffee is presented without any frills and shot as such with just a sandwich to fill up the negative space.

Photo taken in October, 2019 on a misty day. The Big Sur restaurant Nepenthe is one of the favorite stops along the Pacific Coast Highway in Central California. A cabin that was originally on the site was once owned by Orson Welles and Rita Hayworth, who bought it on a whim and never returned to it. The restaurant, designed by a Rowan Maiden, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, was built adjacent to the three room cabin and opened in 1949. It became a favorite of writers, artists, entertainers and tourists, some of the former being Arthur Miller, Anais Nin and Ernest Hemingway.
I stopped in here real quick after hours and to my delight there was not a soul in sight. So... set up the tripod quick and fired off a 5 exposure bracket.
It is such a beautiful place (well, the entire Morocco pavilion really) but I've never had the chance to eat here - mainly because the people in my group are generally not fans of Mediterranean food. I, on the other hand, love it.
There is a very cool and swank area of Kuala Lumpur that has a collection of trendy and well-designed restaurants. The whole place is a photographer's paradise! The only problem is that the entire place is quite dimly lit. But, as you know, I'm a nerd that takes my tripod everywhere, so that doesn't pose too much of a problem! Well, it does pose a problem when it comes time for dinner and all my gear takes up an entire table. I don't like to put it in the corner. Nobody puts baby in the corner.

This is an old picture that I shot in 2008 when this futuristic looking restaurant was being renovated.
This is actually the backlit wall in one of my favorite restaurants. I just love the vaguely abstract/Asian/neon/modern design! Or, if anyone knows what this style is, feel free to correct me!! :-D
