The delicate mashrabiya has offered effective protection against intense sunlight in the Middle East for several centuries. However, nowadays this traditional Islamic window element with its characteristic latticework is used to cover entire buildings as an oriental ornament, providing local identity and a sun-shading device for cooling. In fact, designers have even transformed the vernacular wooden structure into high-tech responsive daylight systems.
A mashrabiya (مشربية), also either shanshūl (شنشول) or rūshān (روشان), is a type of projecting oriel window enclosed with carved wood latticework located on the second storey of a building or higher, often lined with stained glass. The mashrabiya is an element of traditional Arabic architecture used since the Middle Ages up to the mid-20th century. It is mostly used on the street side of the building; however, it may also be used internally on the sahn (courtyard) side..Mashrabiyas were mostly used in houses and palaces although sometimes in public buildings such as hospitals, inns, schools and government buildings. They are found mostly in the Mashriq – i.e. the eastern part of the Arab world, but some types of similar windows are also found in the Maghreb (the western part of the Arab world). They are very prevalent in Iraq, the Levant, Hejaz and Egypt. They are mostly found in urban settings and rarely in rural areas. Basra is often called "the city of Shanasheel".Mashrabiya is derived from the triliteral root Š-R-B, which generally denotes drinking or absorbing. There are two theories for its name, the most common one is that the name was originally for a small wooden shelf where the drinking water pots were stored. The shelf was enclosed by wood and located at the window in order to keep the water cool. Later on, this shelf evolved until it became part of the room with a full enclosure and retained the name despite the radical change in use.The second theory is that the name was originally mashrafiya, derived from the verb Ashrafa, to overlook or to observe. During the centuries the name slowly changed due to changing accents and influence of non-Arabs speaking Arabic. There is no point in history that can be dated as the first time they appeared; however, the earliest evidence on use of the Mashrabiya as it currently is dates back to the 12th century in Baghdad during the Abbasid period. Whatever is left in Arabic cities is mostly built during the late 19th century and early-to-mid-20th century although some Mashrabiyas can be found that are three or four hundred years old. In Iraq in the 1920s and 1930s, the designs of the latticework was affected by the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements of the time. This was evident in Al Rasheed street Mashrabiyas up to the late 1960s before most of them were demolished.Traditionally, houses are built of adobe, brick or stone or a combination of that. Wooden houses are not popular and hardly ever found. Building heights in urban setting range from two to five floors (although Yemeni houses can reach up to seven floors) with the Mashrabiyas on the second level and above. The roofs are usually built using wooden or steel beams with the areas between filled with brick in a semi vault style[dubious – discuss]. These beams were extended over the street, enlarging the footprint of the upper floor. The upper floor is then enclosed with latticework and roofed with wood. The projection is cantilevered and does not bear the weight of traditional building materials.
There are different types of Mashrabiyas, and the latticework designs differ from region to region. Most Mashrabiyas are closed where the latticework is lined with stained glass and part of the Mashrabiya is designed to be opened like a window, often sliding windows to save space; in this case the area contained is part of the upper floor rooms hence enlarging the floor plan. Some Mashrabiyas are open and not lined with glass, in this case the Mashrabiya works like a balcony and the space enclosed is independent of the upper floor rooms and accessed through those rooms with windows[dubious – discuss] opening towards it, sometimes even the woodwork is reduced making look much more similar to a regular roofed balcony; this type of Mashrabiya is mostly used if the house is facing an open landscape rather than other houses, such as a river, a cliff below or simply a farm. One of the major purposes of the Mashrabiya is privacy, an essential aspect of Arabic culture.[3]:3, 5–6 A good view of the street can be obtained by the occupants without being seen, preserving the private interior without depriving the occupants from a vista of the public outside. The wooden screen with openable windows gives shade and protection from the hot summer sun, while allowing the cool air from the street to flow through.[4] The designs of the latticework are usually with smaller opening in the bottom part and larger openings in the higher parts, hence causing the draft to be fast above the head and slow in lower parts. This provides a significant amount of air moving in the room without causing it to be uncomfortable. The projection of the Mashrabiya achieves several purposes, on one hand it allows air from three sides to enter, even if the draught outside was parallel to the house façade; on the other hand it serves the street and in turn the neighborhood. A row of projected Mashrabiyas provides shelter for those in the streets from rain or sun. The shade in normally narrow streets will cool the air in the street and increase the pressure as opposed to the air in the sahn, which is open to the sun making it more likely that it would flow towards the sahn through the rooms of the house. The Mashrabiya also provides protection and shade for the ground floor windows that are flat and usually unprotected..One of the major architectural benefits is correcting the footprint shape of the land. Due to winding and irregular streets, plots of land are also commonly irregular in shape while the house designs are usually regular (squares and rectangles). This would cause irregular shapes of some rooms and creates dead corners. The projection allows correcting the shapes of the rooms on the upper floors, hence allowing the utilisation of the entire plot. This also increased the usable space without increasing the plot size..On the street side, in addition to their ornamental advantage, they served to provide enclosure to the street and a stronger human scale.

A lot of gentlemen will be responsive to its member measurements, "is them extensive enough", "is them wide enough", as well as would like. Usual time period of your member is all over 6 inches tall as well as ordinary width is all over five inches tall. For almost all gals, we can have a preference for gentlemen which has an ordinary sized member, and are generally a reduced amount of thinking about member shapes for the duration of sexual activities. Specifically gentlemen who sadly are thinking about them, here are a few quite a few tactics for steps to create a person's member more.
Guidelines to Generate This Member More
Extensive, wide plus harsh, that is definitely the best way gentlemen prefer to find its penises. Them would make these folks well informed sexually, plus boosts its self-esteem. Gentlemen never plan to be just simply the average joe. Selecting to just often be top-quality in every single manner. There are actually not one but two solutions for steps to create a person's member more, a high tech strategy as well as self-applied strategy.
A high tech strategy is carried out by way of decreasing a muscles this secure the member right up in order that it adds to the flaccid think of your member by way of a strong millimeter and also not one but two. Should the muscles will be trim, a member is definitely frustrated plus revealed. Now and then, this action is definitely in addition to clamping a veins of your member, to extend a preservation with maintain for your more complicated plus large building.
Self-applied solutions will be all those executed without the need of health discipline. I highly recommend you often be reminded to use any millimeter with care, when these solutions might lead to permanent impaired if executed unnecessarily.
To get gentlemen who sadly are demanding "tips in making this member more without the need of surgery" will need to consider quite a few facial tactics for completing this task. In lieu of switching the length of a member, quite a few gentlemen can be its pubic wild hair shaved in making this vision affect on the more member. Quite a few would probably shed extra pounds. Your member is often intered around sheets with fats to the navel district, consequently defining it as lesser to observe.
Quite a few express this penile pumps deliver the results, quite a few express them under no circumstances does indeed. Penile pumps will be kind similar to a clean tube. Around treatment, in simple terms made use of by gentlemen who definitely have erection failure. Its set covering the member, which includes a power tube to form suction. While it delivers light suction, a maintain is definitely make on the member, defining it as engorged. Quite a few apply engagement rings to move together with the penile pumps. Your compression setting arena and also "cock ring" is scheduled to the initial of your pump, and it's encouraged to the bottom of your member which includes a fretting hand in advance of explelling a tube. Having said that, substantial make use of a member tube bring about a ruin of your maintain container. Industry experts express this rather then furnishing penile elongation, its extra of your mental health total satisfaction it can do to get gentlemen.
Spending time is actually a non-surgical option to really lengthen a person's member. Them make use of weight lifting that is going to traction a glans member and also set regarding a glans plus permits a excess fat that they are revoked for your specified time frame. Then an excess fat is definitely higher so that you can training a member. This action causes really serious threats while it limits a circulation of blood to your glans member.
Jelqing is definitely the most widespread non-surgical procedure now. The following or have to have every tool nor weight lifting, you require exclusively apply a person's thumb your index chart handy. This action is definitely often called "milking" while it imitates a respond with milking a cow. A training is carried out by way of adding a thumb as well as index chart handy all over your semi-erect member, switching them with the platform to your rule, just simply regarding a glans. This is certainly executed around slowly acts so that you can compel a maintain on the glans member.
You will contemplate, "Wow, there are certain guidelines to generate this member longer", nonetheless don't just conduct every one analysts. The most wonderful thing to undertake is definitely confer with a family doctor your significant other in advance of completing this task.
As well absorb the following,
If you ever will not be undoubtedly well-endowed, this is usually a simple technique to develop the best way pleasing you will be in the sack. Long, wide member is going to Energize The girl's G-Spot Plus generate the girl climaxing Extra without difficulty as compared with almost and also below-average a person. Certainly Its Real!

I passed this beauty on my way to Footdee, she was parked at the harbour next to Neptunes Bar , whenever I see a truck new to me I ask for permission from the
driver however the cabin had curtains drawn hence I captured the view and moved on.
The Scania R440 is a handsome, fleet-spec truck. The big front grille dips right down from the windscreen to the low bumper, its slatted, horizontal louvers narrowing only slightly to give it a robust, square-jawed look. Inside, the rugged good looks continue. The R cab comes in Day, Sleeper, Highline and Topline guises, with the Highline being a popular all-rounder for larger operators. In this spec the cab has plenty of headroom for even taller drivers to stand and move around easily, with the low engine cover giving a flat floor too. The cab is finished nicely in a tan and blue colour scheme and even this fleet-spec rig has some nice touches. Original models had a clever mini briefcase with clipboard arrangement, which slotted into the fascia above the windscreen and is an ideal tool for keeping your paperwork to hand and in order.
The bottom bunk of the Scania R440 has the folding cushion arrangement to accommodate the moving seats, which some drivers don't appreciate. On the other hand, it is easy enough and if you can't be bothered and are driving solo, then the top bunk is a fine alternative. When it comes to instrumentation, the Scania R440 gets it just as right as its stable mates. Everything seems to be where it should be and the most-used controls fall easily to hand. Setting the handbrake and Opticruise switch on the dash and steering column respectively also keeps the floor area nicely clutter-free. A fully adjustable driver's seat and steering column add to the comfortable experience.
The Scania's big steering wheel allows a decent amount of feedback to reach the driver and the power-assisted system seems well weighted. The extra steering axle, meanwhile, just means that it is even more responsive and accurate. Power comes from a 13-litre, straight six-cylinder engine, delivering Euro 5 conformity via a two-way EGR set-up. The engine is available tuned in 40hp jumps from 360 to 480, so every operator should be able to find a suitable version to suit their duty cycle. The 440 version delivers its maximum power at 1,900 and makes 2,300 Nm of torque available between 1,000 and 1,300rpm. This engine is boosted by XPI common rail fuel injection and a variable geometry turbocharger. The power plant is smooth, responsive and relatively quiet even when pushed and keeps gear changes to a minimum. This is thanks to the winning combination of engine, Opticruise and GRS0905 gearbox. Although the system still retains a clutch for starting and stopping, automatic changes in between are smooth, fast and well timed, removing the need for manual intervention from even the most demanding driver.
Suspension is provided via the usual front steel and rear air set-up, aided and abetted by telescopic shockers on all axles and a front anti-roll bar. The arrangement is capable in all road situations and handling is never an issue on the Scania R440. Braking comes from ventilated dual circuit full air discs on every wheel and this exemplary arrangement is assisted by a blended engine brake to provide ample stopping power. This combination of abilities, wedded to fine driver comfort even in fleet spec, will no doubt place the Scania R440 close to the top of both fleet and owner-operator wish lists.

PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. - The 641st Regional Support Group, an Army Reserve logistics and transportation brigade based in St. Petersburg, Fla., conducted a Best Warrior Competition and Officer Challenge Jan. 24 at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla.
Both competitions took place during the final full day of Operation Responsive Sentinel, a sustainment training and disaster relief field exercise comprising approximately 20 units and 900 Soldiers. Resolve Sentinel's operational and tactical missions at Port Canaveral, Patrick AFB and the Air Force's Malabar Transmitter Annex offered numerous opportunities for the troops to apply their military and civilian skills to plan, organize and execute objectives on land and sea.
The Best Warrior Competition featured six enlisted Soldiers representing several companies and battalions attached to the 641st RSG. The half-dozen men and women faced off in a various warrior-oriented tasks ranging from a written exam and sergeants major interview board to a ruck march and a rifle and pistol qualification round.
The top two competitors will represent the 641st RSG in the 143d Sustainment Command
(Expeditionary)'s Best Warrior Competition planned for March 9-13 at Camp Blanding, Fla.
While specialists and sergeants shot, sang, ran and marched their way to the finish line, scores of junior officers formed at Patrick AFB's Education and Training Center to test their strength, dexterity, memory and morale in the 641st RSG's officer challenge. Teams of five officers competed at six unique
stations spread along a six-mile route. The challenge began with map reading and rank recognition events, continued with casualty evacuation scenario and a ethical dilemma, and concluded with a physical challenge and rifle marksmanship.

AGILE RESPONSIVE EFFECTIVE SUPPORTS (ARES)
The ARES, Scaled Model 151, was designed initially in response to a U.S. Army request for a Low Cost Battlefield Attack Aircraft (LCBAA). A design study was performed by Rutan Aircraft Factory in 1981 for such an aircraft. Its mission goals were low-altitude, close air support, with long endurance, and with adequate field performance to operate from roads.
Scaled followed up with the concept, and ultimately decided to build a demonstrator aircraft with internal funds. The ARES first flew on February 19, 1990. ARES has flown more than 250 hours, and demonstrated all of its design performance and handling qualities goals, including departure-free handling at full aft stick. During November of 1991, tests of the GAU-12/U gun system installed in ARES were performed, with outstanding results.
Movie buffs may also remember the ARES in its role as the secret ME-263 jet in the screen classic Iron Eagle III.
