P-Doug took this shot of the foundation of whatever it was that once stood north of the pond. Someone has spray painted "RESPECT NATURE" on the pouring.

Proteja-se e lute!
Eu quero poder andar ser feliz e estar contigo
E se livre pra pensar
Decidir que a mente fique ou vá...
Não deixe que o ódio escravize as nossas crianças
Que a hipocrisia não tenha valor
Assim estaremos vivos
Pare e reflita no que ouve e sente
Nunca aceite sem pensar
Todo pensamento bom tem seu valor ..
O valor de ser livre!
Proteja-se e Lute, Natiruts

The McFarlane Collector Edition DC Multiverse Wonder Woman figure. This isn't something I generally would buy. Like with Legends, I respect what they do with a limited budget, but recognize it's not really for me so rather than buy it and be critical, I just leave it be.
So one day I saw this Wonder Woman figure and said figure that it's a decent sculpt, and it should be pretty easy to get. Fast forward three months and there are stores like Gamestop that never got their stock, and someone my backorder on Amazon fulfilled and the item delisted.
Marketed as a more prestigious figure than the typical McFarlane release, $50 CAD gets you the figure, six total hands, her terrible Lasso of Truth, an axe, a sword, a shield, a collector card with a stand, and a figure stand. In terms of content, I think it's just the card and the two stands that are extra. The figure is larger than your typical Legends figure, standing in at 7 inches tall, so some points for that.
Compared to the other Wonder Women releases, the overall silhouette on this figure destroys them all, especially the live action ones with their stick like bodies. The face is... OK. It's not terrible, but it's not great either, and it certainly doesn't look like the art. It's just kind of there.
The gear, I believe, are repaints of weapons given to other iterations of the character. It amuses me to no end that despite being a totally different line, it seems I cannot get away from trigger hands, which make for decent Praying Mantis style fighting hands when push comes to shove.
The Articulation is a bit lacking compared to Power Princess on the Legends side, a figure I only know about because everyone was making direct comparisons to Wonder Woman. It's mainly the lack of proper thigh swivel and chest level articulation that separate the two, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss having those when posing for photography. Pliable shorts help with the limited hip articulation. The figure also features butterfly style shoulders and double knees/eblows.
Paint Application wise I generally prefer the McFarlane stuff as it seems to be cleaner, and it seems McFarlane isn't shy about tossing in those metallic paints. The Gold on her waist isn't the best but the paint on her body armour is nice and vivid. The other areas of paint (bracers, weapons, shield, boots) are competent.
Build Quality is an area that I hear many a unhappy comment, and I can understand why. The shoulders on my figure are loose. They still do the job, but they're uncomfortably loose and the collar that fills in the shoulder gab is also pretty loose. The body, while it does have a very nice silhouette, has some fairly roughly finished parts which, to be fair, isn't limited to McFarlane. I guess at least my joints didn't snap apart or anything like that.

RISKWORLD: Don't Risk Our World For Your Profiteering - Insure Our Future!
Holding the insurance industry accountable for their contributions to Climate Chaos!
Sunday, April 10, 2022
San Francisco, CA
A beautiful street mural and pop-up art exhibit welcomed the "RISKWORLD" insurance industry conference at their opening gala outside the Exploratorium at Pier 15 in San Francisco.
From the organizers - "Insurance companies are profiteering and harming communities by insuring the expansion of oil and gas pipelines, Arctic drilling, tar sands, and other fossil fuel infrastructure, while abandoning communities impacted by climate chaos. Together, we will demand that insurers respect Indigenous rights and protect our shared climate."

What I find funny/ironic/misleading/infuriating about this is that this simply little warning comes at a time when our actual privacy has never been less respected or more vulnerable to corporations or our own government.

Up to 10,000 motorbikes are taking part in a ride through Oxfordshire from Dry Sandford to Carterton to pay respect to the brave Service men and women killed in Service and thank the towns for their care of our heroes and their families.
Now in its fifth year, the Ride of Respect 2014 is on Sunday 1 June from 9am to midday (approximately) and will raise vital funds for The Royal British Legion in support of our Armed Forces and their families.
